ps3roxor: Have u tried DMZ your PS3 IP? NAT Type 3 obviously your router firewall has blocked it.

Hi guys, I need a All-In-One (Modem + Router + Wireless) solution that can give me Nat Type 1 or 2. Do post your equipment configuration (as in port forwrd, UPnP etc) as well.

Currently using Streamyx 1MB, Aztech 605E (older version) + Netgear Wireless Router setup, getting NAT3. Direct connection to 605E only gives me NAT2.

direct connection to 605e in router mode will still get you nat2
ftp://ftp.aztech.com/support/malaysia/ADS...v.1.0%20Jan.pdf

convert the aztech into brigde(modem) mode, and set the netgear to dial to pppoe.

Thanks vorchiel. I couldnt access that ftp link but I did what you suggested and I have Nat 2 now.

Must be the damn Brutal Legend servers, can't bloody find proper games to play without lagging or disconnections.

hello...First of all, I just bought my ps3 bout last week. I used ADSL Riger modem given by streamyx. I used wired connection, the problem is I can get NAT type 1 when I set my modem into bridge mode. But when I change my mode into router mode (PPPoe), it appears DNS error (80710102) when I test the connection in the ps3 network setting. Btw, I have tried some suggestion to use manual setting where I key in DNS primary & secondary given TMNET. But still the error come up. Plz....anybody can help me?? icon_question.gif

Yes you can.

The adsl modem is set to bridge mode.

In ps3 network settings, choose PPPoE (insert username & password to login into streamyx)

I am having 80710102 error too. ANybody can help to resolve this problem.
My PS3 firmware is still 3.01, or i must update to 3.10 in order to connect to internet?
I used to be able to connect to internet, but now i can't. There is no change of setting neither on my PS3 or modem router.
When i do connection test, my PS3 failed to obtain IP adress.

Anybody have experienced the same problem here? Or know the solution for this problem.
All helps are very much appreciated. Thank you

I have the same problem but what i did was to change the dns setting to an open dns.

Just type in

208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220

I m using P1 Wimax and the signal sometimes good sometimes not so good same as streamyx i guess! I was told that unless our country change our fiber optic cable to optical we be stuck for 2-3 bar of signal FOR LIFE!!!!

Hope my solution solve ur problems...

How do u set up router? auto config? what model is your router?

the prob is the router block the connections of those devices, maybe router have incorrect settings?

I think its the router incorrect settings.
Nope, my friend helped me out.
When i used my bro's laptop to connect, it shows 2 of the same connection, eg : mizer and mizer_1 but cant go online
