QUOTE(xboys @ Apr 17 2009, 10:54 PM) I also din see any improvement.... Still the same download speed like last time... Now P1 having 10MB line dy... Izzi still sleeping izzit?? iBurst and WiMax based on different technology. The current tower base only support 24mbps down / 8 mbps up. Besides Kyocera only developed until 2mbps modem. So here's whats going to happen. Unless iZZi plants more base towers, dont even think of getting up to 2mbps since they cant even afford to enough bandwidth for 1mbps users. So basically, iZZi doesnt have any bright future. |

Where you get info more than 1 million?
As iBurst operates at or below 2.5GHz, the CapEx is also low. That is because higher-frequency radio waves like 3.5GHz have greater directivity and attenuation, such that each station has a narrower coverage and more base stations are required to cover the same area (see chart above). Low-cost system building and low total cost of ownership can be facilitated through the deployment of iBurst. Furthermore, iBurst base stations are compact and have highly durable weather-resistant housing. source http://global.kyocera.com/prdct/telecom/of..._feature06.html |

Even though it has low cost building and total cost of ownership but to build a new base station require planning , engineers to spectrum sweep the area , equipment , tower it self and many others as well and they need to get permission from the government ...
everything above will slowly add up to a fortune just my 2 cents but building an extra base station is really not cheap even though its a simple one i've build a pretty simple one along cheras - mid valley road and it cost maxis 3-4 million ( we rented a tower space instead of building one ) This post has been edited by jerrynks: Apr 19 2009, 06:31 AM |

yes its different technology but is the material wise and the equipment and also the configuration wise.... a single dish and the technology and configuration that comes with it is very costly...and every single dish they build they need to have a back up line as stated by MCMC ...
