for me i only budget in the range of RX-V1900, for i feel that its good enough, for i only get to play at late nights and in the hall( no sound Room ) on the contary if i really want i and COULD, would have gone for the likes of Z7, Z11, ADP 1, LX82,91

coming back to your case, what i meant is, if you have more budget, if not maybe can save more to go for the next upper level, that is 665 to 865 (if its available, for my case intially i aim for 1909, then see see, no phono, i waited a while for the 2809,that time LX series no stock then later i got 3900 at RX-V1900 price, really feel its worth the Extra 2k for
- better Video scaling anchor bay chip( Lexicon 1st BD player also uses this chip which cost US3,900.00)
- Neworking capabilities
- Better components and ccts
- software upgrade, through LAN or USB
- support front Presence Speaker for 3D sound
- and a lot of other great stuff

PS... 665 is still a very good AVR that stands out within the price category

But the reviews on 665 is average only (eg. 3 out of 5 star) Anyone know what's the best price for Yamaha RX-V665, 765, 1065, 1900 & 3900?

I will buy avr either this or latest next month, so have to think twice before spending out my hard earned money by doing careful & detail research ...during these time I can save more as well so maybe can get the higher end model so anyone know the current best price for the mentioned models?

yes get one that will last you for another DECADE. Its worth the WAIT

ya this is the correct way for our hard erned money.

I have been serching for 2nd hand items for almost 2 years, I want a home theather and as latest as possible and as cheap as possible.

On the way there are many items that i wanted to get but i give it out, and waited for the next one. My luck is good the later turn out getting more and more feactures packed.

In May the Marantz SR4001 appear with the right price i grap it. Then come the Infocus X9.

My latest suprice is the Onkyo TX-SR875 at very comfortable price.

I build from non to almost complete system now. Worth the wait with patient.

Dude that is too expensive la for 3800. Last I checked a few months back its only around 4k for demo unit with 1 year warranty.

So now even 1900 is a 'no'? and better to get a 3900?
What speakers package to pair with these receivers?

doesn't support satellites with active subs.

there seems no setting for main speakers to use subwoofer on stereo or pure direct
so macam mana main satellites like klipsch and the likes.....

ANY ONE HAVE OR EXPERIMENTED HOW TO ACTIVATE THE SUB ON STEREO AND PURE DIRECT PLEASE MAKE KNOW, THANKS

What I gather from the net, this issue is not unique to 3800/1800 only. Happened to Onkyo too. Most incidents involved Fox's BD titles. Flight of the Phonix was mentioned. And in my case Master & Commander.

Now after firmware upgrade, my 3800 is free from the bug.

Yamaha's warehouse sale starting tomorrow? but until when?

Usually 3 days, so until Sunday.
