Am looking for some advise from Bros. Thinking of getting an AVR to connect ps3 and dl content from pc to lcd tv, was looking at a RXV463 and Yammy NS-8390 (front) SPK 5/60 (centre & back) as am on tight budget and live in condo. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Think you refering to center NS-P60

wou... really think NS-8390 too big for condo ( individual preference thou'')
maybe can consider NS-125/210/310 series,.... looks kida cute for condo
how much the NS-8390 and NS-P60 ???
*
HHmm..have got history of complaints if you know wat i mean... biggrin.gif ...Harvey Norman in the curve was offering the set (AVR + Speakers) RM3.1k at 3 yrs warranty...RM2.7k for 1 year warranty...i tot quite bang for the buck..

NS8390 - 3-way speakers should be fine for condo .what woofer you using?
*
Actually was planning not to use woofer for the time being...as own preference is that front speakers should be able to handle...if bei tahan only get the subwoofer..any good budget ones to recommend??

well 5.1 spk package for 1k+  is a very good deal,
nope, haven't tested this spk series but i think yammy shouldn't be a problem at that price bracket, since all is yammy,go for the yammy sub too.
you'll certainly miss the extra oomph!!! w/o the sub
enjoy

ps .....have you tried mission 33i range and the likes of warfedale within the price range
*
Thanks bros. Will keep you guys updated.

Went to the warehouse sale at 10am today.

I bought the RX-V565 opened unit for RM1673. This open unit was not installed or used ever. It was just open to be displayed. Not connected at all when it was displayed.

Right now in the process of installing the 565. Now dunno what to do with my old 540 though.

Good for you bro. I also got a similar unit (Open display set) for the 665. rclxms.gif
