It's for new house in Ipoh and will only move in few months later due to security issue.
Tentative plan:

AV Receiver : V463
Front Speaker : NS-50F
Center Speaker + Surround : P60 (NS-C55 + NS-E55)
Subwoofer : SW315
Source : Pioneer DVD and PC
Cable : ??
Will post pic when they are up. icon_rolleyes.gif

I'm aiming for the V663. Don't really need the power and the upscaler of the V863 and with the size of my viewing room, it really don't matter.

Still waiting to get good deal on it. My brother managed to get the v663 second hand from a fellow forumer for RM1550 for like 1 month old v663. Damn good deal!

i have good ol' v661.

and previously i was so excited about this feature. But the reality is u only can use 'presence on - surr back off' or 'presence off - surr back on'

so if u care about the surround back output, u cannot use presence speakers ability.

But nonetheless its a fine features by yamaha. Sometimes u watch concerts, u dont really need the surround back. so you could use the presence speaker and apply effects to it. most notable one is 'dialog lift'. it can lift u the center (voice) channel up to your listening (preferred) position and really makes u into the scene. Other than that it could use to further enhance the DSP effects.

unless u elite enuff and opt for RX-Z11, u could use all 11 channel discreetly; presence, surr, all on.

Yup, can only choose one setup. So you can still enjoy them if you already have 7 speakers, only have to switch back and forth every time you change from presence to surround back, or the other way around. If you have 9 speakers, then no problem. biggrin.gif

About that short thing, I also never kena... hmm.gif

1 question
how or where should i connect my subwoofer cable to the rear of my 861 ?
its not those subwoofers with built-in amp ... i'm trying to connect my previous mini hifi component's subwoofer to it (for temporary time being while i rob $ to buy a REAL subwoofer)
I got a pair of stereo bookshelf connected to both front speaker output and a center speaker to the center speaker output ... other than that all others left un-occupied.
Should i use the surround or surround back output ?
PLS HELP ! TQ !
