The unit 99.9% exactly like new set, so i think is worth it, consider current AVR with upscale cost at least 2k above ... so what else to expect eventhough its only 105W / channel ? Even the RX-V861 also selling like hot cakes ! New models are more expensive than outside, I agree. That's why i rather go for obsolete models. Casual Junior Member 404 posts Joined: Jul 2005	1 question how or where should i connect my subwoofer cable to the rear of my 861 ? its not those subwoofers with built-in amp ... i'm trying to connect my previous mini hifi component's subwoofer to it (for temporary time being while i rob $ to buy a REAL subwoofer) I got a pair of stereo bookshelf connected to both front speaker output and a center speaker to the center speaker output ... other than that all others left un-occupied. Have you try to plug your unit to other power plug in your house by using longer power extension? You can try that first cause previously I experienced the same thing on my PC but when plug to other power plug then it was OK. Think might be due to the connection inside the power plug on the wall which didn't ground properly. Ever wonder why some electrical appliances comes with 3-pin and plug and some got 2-pin plug ? The 3rd pin is for ground connection ... u can either connect a 'ground' to other elec. appliance with 3pin plug ... Actually it is using your body to discharge to ground ... I remember my Yamaha 861 got a small part at the rear panel purposely for ground connection ... check it out
