i never trust my YPAO calibration. it all over the place! manual settings better.

maybe my room is abit odd..

my 661 at -16dB is very very loud already.. maybe different settings..

Yammy hav quite a learning curve. the LFE/Bass channel in ur yammy is fine. all u need to do is calibration and some settings tweak. do YPAO calibration. Just plug in the supplied microphone, and run the auto test.. your speaker will outputting sounds and get calibrated. and u are done.

also, u could manually increase the LFE level in your sound menu.

i know the manual is thick and not funny, but if u digest it, you could have calibrate your new avr precisely and u will hav a spankin-kickin-butt sound. trust me

actually u can hook up your amp to your LCD and display the OSD. (that's y i sed the non funny-thick-manual is handy! )

u could hook-up a s-video or those yellow RCA cable to your TV and it will display the menu on screen. I think 663 is the same as 661 whereas the on-screen display cant be outputted thru HDMI (this is the downside of lower-end yammy amps, but achievable on higher-end). with this on screen display the menu gets more detailed and easy to understand.

In my case my Sammy LCd got PiP, I connect extra s-vid cable (of course HDMI as main output lah ) to my LCD and i activate the pip option in my sammy. so the menu can be displayed on the tiny side of the screen without discarding the main feature of a movie. problem solved.

as for the speaker level, it would be on manual setting>Sound menu>SP level.

ok lah, i demo it without looking at the sub (blind-demo-test), but only feels the sound. the sales guy demo me 5 different subs haha. at the end of the day i like the feel of this MS9 sub
