QUOTE(aiman04 @ Apr 16 2008, 03:35 PM) Congrats bro. Just use the YPAO calibration, then tweak a little as you see fit to your listening taste. Really easy to setup! i never trust my YPAO calibration. it all over the place! manual settings better.Next, get the YSD-10 iPOD docks. And yes, that's a very good price. Almost half of my 1800. maybe my room is abit odd.. |

QUOTE(aiman04 @ Apr 17 2008, 02:56 PM) All receivers specs are factory rated one, not real world. No receivers will achieve what they say on their own manual.. uiyo, -13dB? quite loud lah! Whatever it is, my 1800 is powerful enough at -13dB. I only go up to -7dB when I go crazy release tension mode. And that even after -6 level trim! my 661 at -16dB is very very loud already.. maybe different settings.. This post has been edited by apisgogo: Apr 17 2008, 02:58 PM |

QUOTE(welwitchia @ Apr 17 2008, 08:58 PM) ^ That's the bad part. My speaker sucks donkey A$$ Yammy hav quite a learning curve. the LFE/Bass channel in ur yammy is fine. all u need to do is calibration and some settings tweak. do YPAO calibration. Just plug in the supplied microphone, and run the auto test.. your speaker will outputting sounds and get calibrated. and u are done.Oh well, if u wanna know, Its the JBL SCS200.5 Bought it last year and was never happy with it. Somehow with this Yammy 663, the bass is severely lacking. Please don't ask me to upgrade my speakers for now. That'll have to wait much longer. also, u could manually increase the LFE level in your sound menu. i know the manual is thick and not funny, but if u digest it, you could have calibrate your new avr precisely and u will hav a spankin-kickin-butt sound. trust me This post has been edited by apisgogo: Apr 17 2008, 10:28 PM |

QUOTE(htkaki @ Apr 17 2008, 10:32 PM) Digitalkl, you really want to upgrade to 1800? RM3.5K i never tried really low low sub. they sound really damn good? must try lah one day..who has? welwitchia, the JBL SCS200.5 is a tad too small. It's time for you to upgrade your speakers system. Yes, you are right about it. How low could a sub dig is the key point. If you go for entry level sub (even you have more than 2), which I think nothing lower than 28Hz, it would be no match to Velodyne DD series, or REL subbies mine only 24 lol.. but already can make my heart shakes. |

QUOTE(welwitchia @ Apr 18 2008, 12:53 AM) ok, does anyone know how to adjust the speaker levels without the stupid OSD? The OSD is so ghastly and reminds me of my Atari days. Totally sucks A$$. actually u can hook up your amp to your LCD and display the OSD. (that's y i sed the non funny-thick-manual is handy! u could hook-up a s-video or those yellow RCA cable to your TV and it will display the menu on screen. I think 663 is the same as 661 whereas the on-screen display cant be outputted thru HDMI (this is the downside of lower-end yammy amps, but achievable on higher-end). with this on screen display the menu gets more detailed and easy to understand. In my case my Sammy LCd got PiP, I connect extra s-vid cable (of course HDMI as main output lah as for the speaker level, it would be on manual setting>Sound menu>SP level. QUOTE(htkaki @ Apr 18 2008, 09:23 AM) sunauto, CHT-12R is overkill for megatron lah. Sure his neighbour tulan him. Maybe CHT-10R. really? its MS carnival 9 Apis, your sub really good; 24Hz. ok lah, i demo it without looking at the sub (blind-demo-test), but only feels the sound. the sales guy demo me 5 different subs haha. at the end of the day i like the feel of this MS9 sub This post has been edited by apisgogo: Apr 18 2008, 09:38 AM |
