G25 not really worth it for me la...to spend 1k on that hardware is a bad investment for me.

coz itll probably end up like my momo....bare minimum usage. id rather spend the money and get a REAL Momo steering for a REAL car. then at least ill use it everyday biggrin.gif

everyday racing ka shocking.gif laugh.gif

oic bare minimum usage, buy MOMO enuf, icon_rolleyes.gif thumbup.gif
i use my wheel almost everyday
What bout Frex?whole motion cockpit wheel, more than rm10K, izzit bad investment for being real racer later.for me still save a lot of money,
upgrade ur car, replace turbo, suspension, tuning, maintenance, wear n tear tyres n parts, not mention car brokedown n crash, approx more rm30-40k at least

buy frex, stayin' in da house, can play everyday, can test track, any track, any car.
BTW F1 driver, they test in sim before they test in REAL track.

Download the demo for free and try it out. To me graphic-wise lose to GT but it is not bad at all. The countless FREE mods and tracks and utilities compensate for the graphics i think. I can say this is as close to open source simracing as u can get.

wow already 3 pages

ive been using a handmade usb and non Force Feedback wheel (pedals and h-shifter) for quite a while.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

now that i got myself a cheap 3rd hand momo racing from a friend here - finally a FF wheel, and i just had to mod it straight away:

1st - basically adding bearings for the shaft - note that momo racing dun use bearings but bushings - G25 and DFP do have bearings (prolly a must since both does 900 degrees turning). well since my old wheel uses bearings i just have to put in here as well
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

2nd thing i wanted to do is increase the wheel rotation so that it turns more left and right.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

decided to use the momo wheel, the button switches layout is really nice, the rubber grip is not that bad - mine was a real car steering wheel but the wirings are quite cluttered at the back

there are a few things left to do - centering sensor and extending the wheel wirings.

now i need some beginners guide on FF - thank u Marranello for the tips earlier - im not quite sure if i am enjoying FF
1. noticed quite a resistance on the wheel even when power adapter is off - the FF motor is getting the power from USB maybe?? this is even when i set the software to no FF (??) still can feel the resistance.
2. can only turn off FF by unplugging the power wire to the motor (on the wheel mainboard)

really what kind of effects FF wheel supposed to give?

i dunnow exactly how u wana feel. but i set my FF close to maximum and install real plug i feel. basically i can even feel the vibration on the curb, wheel try to go straight at corner, etc2. and yes i do notice despite we turn off the power supply it still produce slight vibration when racing. i felt this when i try to drift a few days ago in LFS(my LFS buddies keep begging me to comeback to drift heaven tongue.gif ) where my steering keep on pushing to other side than the way i drift biggrin.gif

Of course theyre hundreds of links and wiki abt FFB....but it'll nullify the purpose of having a forum...and posting a link to FFB here is like an insult to ur intelligence.

To me, FFB is the most important thing to have in a simracer. If u have just been introduced to FFB, u actually have added another depth or dimension into simracing. I have my fairshare of non-FFB time. I was glad i had that coz without FFB, Ive train my visuals and aural que to the max. I open my eyes and ears to the visual and aural changes that might say oversteer, understeer, bumpy or slippery surfaces.
With FFB, visual and aural que is fully used to look at where ure going....ur arms getting all the que for understeer, bumps and such instead. Of course basic FFB like steer weight (wheels wants to turn opposite direction when turning) is essential coz its just natural for us real-life drivers. With some adjustments and milage with FFB, u can tell wut sort of tweaking u need on ur car setup for it to be faster or less nervous or anything u want. FFB to me is the main way the car communicates with u. It wants to tell u his story ...so listen to FF....have a earful pair of hands and arms to listen to it...lol.

The important thing..have fun.

For rFactor, as an addition to the stock FFB, there is a plugin that enhances the effect...or i can say adding to what was missing. Check it out and try it.
But i think u familiarise with stock FFB first so when u finally try RealFeelFFB, u can tell the diff. Or hell just try it straightaway.

http://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail.cfm?I...%20FFB%20Plugin

Here is my take on RealFeelFFB...hihi

after spending a tiring 5 hours last night on the FF wheel project - i decided to KIV the project for a while.

so now im back with a 'revised' conventional spring wheel - will be using the momo steering wheel instead although its plastic the smaller size feels nice (for F1) and again no cluttered wires like my old steering wheel.

Hmm a wheel thread, I do think IMO a wheel is a simracers best friend.

An arcade game doesn't need wheel to be fast because the game is written for gamepad. NFS is a perfect example, you can be very quick with gamepad while not really that quick with a wheel. A thought to be considered is that can you drive a real car quick with a gamepad? No right.

My point is that, with a simulation title we discover our bad habits of driving. We thought we are fast on the road with our self believed and thought technique. Apparently simulation title and quick analysis of real world racing drivers shows us that our technique in real world is far far from being a technique at all.

Hence the disappointment of driving sim titles. It uncovers that we are actually not the driver we believe our self to be. A good driver is a learned driver, thought and trained. Believe me getting a wheel and being good in simulation titles help your driving in real life.

I second that. When i took my driving license, ive never been thought abt the fundamental things abt driving. I learn most of them thru simracing. (But I dont race on public road.) The complexity of simracing games gradually increases, earlier games like GPL (i was stuck with it for sometime last time around) taught me mostly abt response time. Even for the sim like GPL, I cant really apply what i do in it on my normal driving coz its totally different (steering lock, FFB at the time was not as complex and accurate, plus my hardware was minimal). Some of my frens apply what they do in NFS on public road and lots of them end up in troubling themselves and other ppl.

With complex sim like rfactor and LFS, I can learn the physical properties behind driving and wut its all abt. I learn the basic car behaviour and many of its fundamental characteristics. My awareness of my surroundings while driving has been enhanced. And i drive more responsibly since i burn all the adrenaline in sim and i have no need of doing it again on public road. The risks are too high and unnecessary imho.

Pls note the bold part. It's there for a reason. A strong one indeed. You can be is not the same as you will be or etc.

In a simulation titles it's not even possible for a gamepad player to be close to those guys with a wheel.

HyperSimulator is a great thing, but it needs one more thing to make it the best, a clutch pedal.

Yes, it is reasonable because if you buy from Peninsular, shipping will cost a lot also. I reckon the weight of the G25 package is around 10kg or more.

I tell you, it's even better to get hold of, the quality and durability of the material surpassed my expectation if you were making it as a direct comparison to momo racing wheel.

Not only the G25 has faster rotational speed (read:less resistance needed at neutral) it has less noise and feels like a real wheel. You'll immediately fall in love. I had many friends come over and tested my wheel. Never a dull moment when you see their faces. They must have not believe how far we are capable of creating a realistic content and equipment.

So they have their opinion changed about racing games after having a quick ride on my G25 with GTR2, Richard Burns Rally and Rfactor.

Dont worry I'll join your camp. The racing simulation so far are the only titles that are tailor made to the wheel IMHO. There are lots of things that can be adjusted to your likings in these titles.

for me now it must definetely be the rFactor game that comes with the wheel. So many mods available in the game and having a malaysian site dedicated just for it is way so AWESOME......

p/s: the game rFactor given with the G25 wheel only demo but can be activated with key bought for 39.99 dollar

edit: can even get one of the site member to create a skin just specifically for you like this example

Out of the box working, I would say Richard Burns Rally, LFS, GTR2, rFactor, Gran Turismo 5, Netkar Pro. But with little tweaking of the profile the wheel is brought to even more life.

All race sim titles are made for FFB wheels in mind, so no worries. And furthermore with a very active communities of MSR and the net there should be no worries.

For those who have difficulties grasping the term imulation and arcade, here it's an excerpt from wiki which describes the difference of the two briefly:

QUOTE
Simulation style racing games strive to convincingly replicate the handling of an automobile. They often license real cars or racing leagues, but will use fantasy cars built to resemble real ones if unable to acquire them.

Although these racing simulators are specifically built for people with a high grade of driving skill, it is not uncommon to find aids that can be enabled from the game menu. The most common aids are traction control (TC), anti-lock brakes, steering assistance, damage resistance, clutch assistance, automatic gearbox, etc. This softens the learning curve for the difficult handling characteristics of most racing cars.

Sim (simulated) racing is the collective term for computer software (i.e. a simulation game) that attempts to simulate accurately auto racing (a racing game), complete with real-world variables such as fuel usage, damage, tire wear and grip, and suspension settings. To be competitive in sim racing, a driver must understand all aspects of car handling that make real-world racing so difficult,[1] such as threshold braking, how to maintain control of a car as the tires lose traction, and how properly to enter and exit a turn without sacrificing speed. It is this level of difficulty that distinguishes sim racing from "arcade" driving games where real-world variables are taken out of the equation and the principle objective is to create a sense of speed as opposed to a sense of realism.[1]

Some of these racing simulators are customizable, as game fans have decoded the tracks, cars and executable files. Large internet communities have grown around the simulators regarded as the most realistic and many websites host internet championships.

Arcade style racing games put fun and a fast-paced experience above all else, as cars usually compete through odd ways. They often license real cars and leagues, but are equally open to more exotic settings and vehicles. Races take place on highways, windy roads or in cities; they can be multiple-lap circuits or point-to-point, with one or multiple paths (sometimes with checkpoints), or other types of competition, like demolition derby, jumping or testing driving skills. Popular arcade racers are the Daytona USA series, the Rush series, the Cruis'n Series and the classic Out Run.

Over the last three years there has been a trend of new street racing; imitating the import scene, one can tune sport compacts and sports cars and race them on the streets. The most widely known ones are the Need for Speed: Underground series, Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition, Street Racing Syndicate and Juiced.

This is a list of compatible games for Logitech G25

Sorry, this is an old setup of mine. where is the shifter? U cant see it bcos the keyboard is disrupting the view.

But my current setup is a bit different, the shifter sits just besides the wheel. See the chair, it's an old chair similar type what Iriz is using. Heel and toe is not possible with this chair. It will move a lot.

Notice the angle of the G25, it's made to nearly be as perpendicular as possible to neutral axis with only a slight degree rotation to the front if we are looking at it. Imitation of pure race car? Hmm I think so. smile.gif

finally get to see PCcrazy racing setup lol - same here my modded wheel always been almost perpendicular - open wheel racecar normally like this. and i like em very close to the driver - been wondering how to get my real car wheel to be closer as well lol

ir1z - nice multimonitor setup, add another for triple display (buy matrox tripledisplay digital!), and the notebook buy a cheap plugin to monitor the car in realtime in rfactor - http://www.pitwall-project.com/

G25 has so many things new that a momo does not
1)momo no clutch pedal
2)G25 all leather and stainless steel covered
3)Gear is separate from the wheel
4)can turn more than a momo can
5)dan mcm2ada lagi......

that is just to name a few. The reason why it is price much2 more than a momo wheel

latest version of LFS didnt provide XRT Turbo car for demo version. it only has :

-Formula BMW (open wheel)
-XFG (1.3L na powered car FF )
-XRG (1.3L na powered car FR)

so, in order to go sideways, ur only choice is with XRG. mind u, i can only drift with it after 2 days (long time ago). XRG is simply underpowered thus it makes clutch kick technique is ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE. but , me and my friends can clutch kick though. u need practice.

however, if u buy S2. many FR car u can choose. but the most favourite will be XRT Turbo (my siggie).

Last time during the my glorious era tongue.gif Czone has it and they gave me huge discount for it. Everyone around looks at me like I am an alien or something. Not many got themselves a G25 I told ya.

If you want people staring at you like an alien, or you never before had encountered similar phenomena, I suggest you try and buy it. Just try, I dare you. Let me know when you have completed your quest. tongue.gif

Yup most of them selling at RM950 after bargain, but you need to counter bargain with other shop.....to beat the
market price

p/s: it is easier to do with these things as stock dont come that often(as people don always buy this things) and sometimes they wanna get rid of their stock in hand........

My suggestion is to grab the current G25 which available in LYP. It is because they are trying to sell their stock. From what I heard, logitech distributor is currently not keeping stock for G25 due to slow moving/demand.

remember G25 is supposed to be limited edition. there is a possibility logi will stop production and replace with cheaper wheel with cheaper material, which can sell more and fast. they did this before - twice

logi formula force (all red) - expensive
user posted image

(replaced with?) logi formula force gp (red black) - cheap
user posted image

logi momo force (leather) - expensive (only seen this one when i was in Germany)
user posted image

(replaced with?) logi momo racing - cheap

logi G25 - expensive

(replaced with) logi ??? - cheap

dun count in logi DFP - this was meant for PS2 GT4

For the wheels to go down that price, there must be a substitute item. So far I don't see any guys. So the only choice is makan maggi. On the positive side, there are many types of maggi, asam laksa, kari and it can be cooked several ways also. So be creative a bit.

But for the price of 900+, this piece of hardware is actually a steal seeing what it does and how it can turn you on. laugh.gif

Rfactor is also a software that you can install together with this wheel and teach your kids how to drive. It's a perfect learning tool. I know I teach my little brother and he understands a lot how a car needs to be driven and at a small young age, he understands the real technique most drivers unaware of.

Lazy to setup my momo, so just take the picture how I place my pedal. smile.gif
Angle of the board is up to personal preferences, most important you feel comfortable.
Reason I leave some space is allow me to rest my left foot when didn't press brake pedal (Refer 2nd picture)

momo mana ader laa sniper that gear change......i dont mean the shifting gear one. I mean the other one the silver plate on both right and left side behind the wheel for gear change(momo does not have that)

pertaning to the gear box the H shift if u dont like it can always change it to up/down shift by changing the setting on the gear box.

i tested the MOMO on DiRT and make me doh.gif
the wheel is not enough for me to drift along the rally road doh.gif

if i make it to turn faster by adjusting the deadzone, the car is hard to handle at the straight road, laugh.gif
tested on Prostreet is way too good rclxms.gif

u want more minus point of MOMO compare to G25?

u need to be really sensitive with ur hand in order to counter steer when ur car is going sideways or else u might end up straighten ur car instead. somemore cant play with 4th drop to 2nd gear on the spot with MOMO without Hshifter cry.gif

but sure did if u can practice even more than what G25 user does u might actually drift as good as them. well im telling this base on my experience as virtual drifter with LFS. but for my virtual racing career with rfactor nothing to complaint coz its all SUPERB.

maybe thats due to ur max turning degress on the momo which is much less then the G25 which u can turn a whopping 900 degrees

p/s: hahah u shoud hear from camel. he is DAMN good at drifting things.....

Good point. Ive really made it second nature to re-center the wheel myself coz momo centering is rather useless. Thus it takes lots of practice and distinct understanding of the differences between the setup of the virtual car and the affects of changes on the wheels/controller setup.

A change from momo to G25 for me is gonna involve quite a steep learning curve coz it really involves habits and ur muscle re-programming - out of many.

Turn very late into that corner. The end of the approach is wider. So u have more space to turn. A quick bias adjustment to the rear will give u abit of oversteer underbraking which can help to steer the nose into the corner. But dont drift. Take a late late apex. U cant get away with early apex. Median apex yes, but u have to be really slow at the exit and hope ur turn in point was correct (with practice u can set a marker). I make sure i clear the exit wall before stepping on the pedal again.

Ey...wut happened to this thread? LOL

Lets live it up by this guy doing a realistic setup with his G25. Awesome i must say...not because of the blings and mega FREX pedals...but it is decent and sensical.
The screen is just enough size for the wheels to snug in position to the virtual dashboard, his seat height and hand position is abt right for him, his eye postiion relative to the screen is also there, and his G25 FFB been set up awesomely. I particularly love the way to auto-centers. And that H-Shifter click sound....nice.

nope i wont say f@uck pro street......actually is the other way around. I am playing pro street on my G25 and its awesome. Though drifting need one hella lot of practise. For carbon for me it doesnt sync very well.

i'm planing to buy a G25 too... where to get the cheapest ar ?

btw, other than nfs pro street, what racing games u guys recommend ?
*
Not sure where to get the cheapest one, but average price should be around RM900 ~ RM1000, try jalan2 lowyat & check the price.

Racing games depend on your taste, if u like Arcade Racing, many of them such as NFS, Dirt, TOCA, Juice etc. If u like Simulation Racing, u can try LFS, rFactor, F1C, NetKarPro etc.

Here are small group running the Simulation Racing Games;

Malaysian Simracer

We are racing each other with True Human Skill, not with the AI.

And that H-Shifter click sound....nice.

yup. true indeed. but like i said a few pages back, if u want to race either open wheel or tin top car, MOMO will do the job very well indeed minus clutch feel. but if u want to go for drifting brows.gif , u will suffer a lil bit especially if u want to do clutch kick technique when entering the corner, or u want to counter steer the steering when u are going side ways because the rotation of MOMO is not so big compare to G25. plus, with G25 u can play with H-shifter so it is easier for u to use, weight transfer technique or when u want to make ur rear tyre lose their grip during mid speed drifting at s corner or 90' turn.

but all those only applicable for drifting la. if u want to go for MSR league, MOMO will be just fine. in fact we hav dzariq and sifoo mara whos fliying in every single race we held.

BUT, with hardwork and practice and passion with less talk, all those doesnt matter as u still can drift and smoke the corners yo!!! rclxms.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

I'm planning to get one soon, I haven't got it yet. So I've been thinking what solutions I can get before I purchase it, otherwise I don't think I'll get one if I failed to find a solution. Bear in mind that the thickness I measured is 13cm.

Here's the picture of my desk :

Whoa..thats a bit too thick...im using a typical office desk and my momo couldnt fit at first but i loosen the clamps screws at the sides abit and managed to squeeze it in. I'll do a measurement later on and let you know.

Btw, thats a drawer is it? Would u be able to take it out? If u can then it'll be perfect.

Added on April 28, 2008, 5:37 pmO ok so urs is 13cm...i'll let u know mine...but i think mine is thinner.

Well yeah, it's a drawer, I thought of taking it as well but there's a problem underneath the drawer there's one plank that supports the drawer.. I've been thinking of other ways to fit the MOMO with other table or anything but for now I couldn't think of any cheap ways to have it..

F1C lor, any other mods for F1C to suggest? Mainly I buy this wheel is only to fill out my weekends to explore the setups and possibly join a league for fun. Because I know that I won't get anything much from using the keyboard. It feels sucks when driving especially around the corner where some point I can just push it a little bit harder to the limits using the MOMO. With keyboard, I know it's under limit throttle during cornering, so ya.. haha

I found out that wheel are good for game like rFactor. It utilized your wheel to the max. With realistic physic, it is really a awesome game. BUT, anything good come at the price. At 39.99 US, it really worth the money.

I know rFactor is a good game, but for now MOMO is only what I can afford. Perhaps in the future, hopefully I'm not hangat-hangat tahi ayam I don't want to waste my money. Been considering buying it for like 3 years, I'm going to make full use of it and not just put it aside and use it for like less than 10 times or so.

Well, before buy, you can try to download the demo or 'ahem' version of rfactor and when you think you love it, then join us in the league. MOMO is the good budget wheel ever created. It durable too.

I tried the demo before and I find it quite realistic. - The MOMO I heard there are lots of complains about the problematic pedals. I'm just wondering is this fixable by yourself?

Yes. I fixed mine already. There is tonnes of guide in the internet can guide you to repair the pedal. I'm fixed it once and the problem gone away and will likely never come again.

The only prob that u'll have is the pedal prob, that will cause spiking in throttle and not being able to get 100% throttle.

You wont get these prob out of the box but mostly due to each's behaviour and pedal handling style such as stepping on the throttle at an angle (meaning u senget ur feet to the side abit to press). This will in time cause the throttle to be displaced abit loose. This affects the pot (the component that controls the analog input) and its accuracy coz its never design to take sideway forces like that....only vertical stepping and release forces.

And notice the pedals have a couple of large airholes that can easily collect dust and other particles, which unofrtunately will affects the pot accuracy as well.

So as preventive measure (after experiencing this on my first set) Ive positioned the throttle directly below by feet so i press it down cleanly without sideway movement. And after using, i cover the pedal and the airholes with a clean cloth to avoid any dust collecting.

And ultimately, if it still occur, this is the best (if not the only) webpage that has a detailed instruction on how to clean ur pedals.

Don't push when you first time drive on that track. Drive around circuit to familiar with the track, your car and braking point.
Only tune your car until you familiar and get consistent lap time at that circuit.

Yeah, even though I'm so used to driving cars with keyboard, and now switched to MOMO I feel like a complete newbie that can't establish the brake point.

If I were to race with others online, I would just race my car with no pressure and try to get familiar with it. If I'm last then let it be, as long as my experience starts to gain bit by bit. biggrin.gif

Practice is all it takes and surf or ask around. Like edison said, dont rush it, or u'll get dissapointed pretty easily. I know it is tempting to floor the pedal as go as fast as u can at the straight and brake as late as u can and try to force the car to make that corner. But do it easy, take it as going to and unknown town and learn the way...look around and see how the road is...where to turn and how fast. If u accustomed to it, it'll be second nature. I drove to work taking the same route everyday without much thinking and i know what to expect of the road.

Moving from keyboard to steering wheel is a big jump. Actually ure moving to an on and off device (keyboard - where u press and depress throttle which goes to only 100% or 0%) to an analog one....u can feed gradually the throttle input and countersteer out of corners, pump the brakes to get the car to turn and such. It takes some practice. The muscles, especially would need a little getting used to.

O yeah....Congrats on acquiring the MOMO bluewind smile.gif

Most importantly....have fun.

Thanks maranello55, yeah for me it's quite a big jump from keyboard to the wheel. Still not used to driving with it though, keep having oversteer, too early braking and etc.

But sigh, just used it for like half an hour then the pedal starts to have problems, it doesn't go 100% full. Does putting a tape on it will really solve the problem permenantly?

@ben_ang - try increasing the throttle sensitivity and adjust according to ur likeness. For me, I step on the pedal halfway, while sliding the sensitivity bar at about 50% and check if the low range is not too sensitive or else the amount of throttle u apply out of corners will be too much and can cause over or power understeer.

@BlueWind - O dear...prob already? Throttle fail to go 100% while d car was moving or during calibration?

Nah, just the normal issue faced by other people as well. It doesn't go full even when I depressed it, about 20% lost. But it solves the problem by unplug and replug the USB cable.

I used to own a Logitech MOMO steering wheel.

Gave it to a friend for helping me move as a thank you present.

It was priced very similar to my joystick in Melbourne, given that I have 2 Logitech Freedom Force 3D joystick, I think if I ever work in Aussie again I'll get another 2x Logitech Rumblepad 2 just for fun.

I dont have that prob before...usually i would unplug and replug minutes before quali and race so my throtttle would stay full...(unless its spiking, theres nothing can be done). But ure rite...ive overlooked this and will put tapes as precautions. Who knows what and when it can happen.

If I'm not mistaken, spiking effect means when you depressed the throttle full physically, it only reads about 80% which is a common problem for all MOMO wheel I think. When it reads 80%, if you look into a software(DXTweak2 from Wingman Team) you will see the input spikes up and down not much of the effect in the input but enough to ruin your race.

If you get what I mean.. laugh.gif It happens on my 1 week old MOMO too..... sleep.gif

The cause for spiking is usually due to the loose bracket that supports the pedal. This is what Mozso site says, but if this really the case then why unplug and replug the USB cable back will do the trick? It's a burning question in my mind now laugh.gif

Yeah, PS3 and PS2 both confirm can support MOMO.

Some have luck with the tape solution, some dont.

1- As for the spiking, the one that needs u to unplug and replug is i think the usb adaptor fault...and abit on the software.

2 -The second sort of spiking is where your potentiometer is unsettled when it moves (press and depressing of pedals). Or a dirty pedal braket.

Solution 1 can be done with no prob and the prob goes away for 2-3 hours. but for solution 2, u just need to be extra careful of wut goes into the pedal openings into ur pot area (dust etc.). I cover my pedals with clean cloth to avoid this to happen.

Well I guess what I can do to maintain is to clean the pedals every 3 months to avoid dust collecting more and more. Then I will apply a layer of tape on it.

I don't want to have any problems and want to make sure my wheel is always under good working condition.

I saw rfactor on youtube..the handling, sound i think more towards realism..i love the sound of the car compare to GT looks like 'digitize' i think..but graphics in rfactor maybe not as beautiful as GT but its acceptable.

Yeah already cost more than G25..thanks to my freelance sweat.gif

PVC pipe huh? if it can withstand some heavy weight & d vibration of d wheel without swinging here n there, its quite a gud material 2 build, since no need weld..it has 2 wisthstand almost 100kgs+ with d seat u know.. (in my case of coz, fatty here..)

I don't know why for some reason my wheel behaves erratically when I was playing F1C. When I make a turn then it responds after one second, always ruin my lap. It happens roughly about 2 laps once or twice..

did u on all ur driving aids.?
well..if u use wheel with driving aids..i'll say ur wheel useless.better stick with keyboard or gamepad.
bcoz..if driving aids on/enabled, the 'aids' will 'overwrite' da game controller (wheel) to make perfect corner, braking, better racing line.

You need to google momo configuration for F1C.
Each racing game will have their own setting. Last time I tried rF momo setting into F1C, I always get wrong or delay feedback, thus ruin lap time.

thnk G25 will take lesser time than Momo, since G25 can spin as much as a real car, yet Momo only can do around 100degree each side only..

well, can go for the logitech driving force gt lo. 900 degrees turning minus the clutch pedel and h pattern shifting. Still got sequential and flappy paddle shifting.

Wonder if it's launched already or not here. Price should be below 500.

If not, what about driving force pro?

IIRC, only 3 wheels from logitech have realistic 900 degrees turn right? G25, GT and Pro?

for RM 1500, I think its worth the money. Since G25 already cost RM 1k+ during it first time in Malaysia, I would say the price is reasonable. Somemore included with 1GB USB stick custom built.

Ben, let me tell you, I'm also a newbie myself.. I also don't have proper place to put my MOMO. But that doesn't stop me, I can just mount back-and-forth and although I'm not sure whether I can be committed to MSR but what I know is that I am there just for fun not for real.

You also have to know that you can't be a pro overnight.. Like I told you last time, for now join them, gain experience, always last? Don't bother about it, it's part of your experience.. - Most importantly, perfecting your driving skills while gaining experience.. No need to be a pro to join MSR...

yup. come join us. we all here start from the bottom and climb slow like hell to the top brows.gif

as for me in my debut season (the season just finished), for the first few races im wayy of the pace from even the middle group. and then i'd been penalized for banging and unethical driving where i took out 2 races in a single race which is not the good way especially they were racing for the championship point. i learnt a lot after the penalty. come join us and unleashed ur race devil inside brows.gif brows.gif

Haha, as a rookie for sure we will like bang people's butt. That's why for now I just try to get as much mileage as I can before I join them. So that I can get used to my MOMO and understand the limits..
