If tech 1 only, then I'd say a merlin to tank, and have it repped by the other frigs.

for me, definately Merlins... with proper kinetic resis hardeners~

destroy them....? well, fire back some missiles at them! although im sure some players will suggest using turrets as the merlin has turret bonuses.

Ok. last night we manage to solve this senario. You are right. Merlin with kinetic resis hardener is like a walk in the park toward 3 caracal. We use 1 merlin (tank) and 2 Kestrel (Damage Dealer). But if NPC can use web, that can be trouble to our merlin tank.

since i switch to router i cant log in to EVE d, any guide to solve this problem.

You might need to specify port forwarding to your PC's IP address in your router's "Advanced" settings. For EVE, the port is 26000, so a typical port forwarding setting might look like this:

example1-
IP: 192.168.1.69
Start Port: 26000
End Port: 26000

assuming that your PC's IP is 192.168.1.69, obviously. Start/end port is the same because you're using only one port, whereas port forwarding usually allows for port ranges to be specified (i.e. ports 39771 to 39780).

What may not be obvious to those new to home networking is the fact that you SHOULD need to set your IP address to a 'fixed IP' on your OS' TCP/IP (or Internet Protocol) stack. Nominally your fixed IP settings should be like this:

example2-
IP: 192.168.1.69
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.1.1

assuming that same IP used in the earlier example, and also assuming that your home router's IP is 192.168.1.1. Change the IP and Gateway to suit your situation accordingly. This way, when you reboot your PC or other PCs connect to the router, your PC would still retain that IP necessary for the port forwarding to work.

If this solution works for you, please note that your PC would be the only one that can start an EVE client and connect via your router, since any other PCs playing EVE would need to use port 26000 anyway, which your current PC has now just hogged.

Well.. Now help me..
My semester has begun now.. how i cant bypass the proxy, anyone tried & succesfully bypass proxy..?
I'm hooked to EVE and i'm bored over my mind if i got free time to kill in my uni rather then playing EFT...

Wanna bypass the proxy in your uni? You'll need privilege access to your uni's gateway config to allow:
1) a specific PC's IP to open port 26000 for EVE; or
2) unrestricted access for WiFi connections if you happen to be using a notebook; AND
3) sysadmin access to router/gateway/proxy logs to prevent your actions from being logged.

Your immediate problem would be 1) & 2), but the biggest problem is 3) since it's direct evidence to get you expelled for misusing uni resources.

And unless you're very good friends with the IT dept, or you're one of them, none of the above are your options. Otherwise, you wouldn't be here asking for help, no?

Get a 3G access to internet or something... connect thru there.
