I don't suppose you have any idea about the new Dell Mini notebook (ala HP Mininote, Asus EeePC et al.)? Any time-frame or price-point?

Can that Dell mini notebook handle eve classic better than the EeePC, I wonder?

Would be nice to have something easily luggable to eve at starbucks with.

Guys, want to confirm some stuffs.

If my EVE subscription expire, can I renew it by buying GTC using the isk trade system? Or that system only apply to active accounts?

Well somehow, I don't think the "integrated" Intiaw guafix isn't likely going to handle EVE premium, and barely the classic. Unless this thing comes with an Gefarce or Radeon it's not likely to. Myself, I'm looking at this or other alternative mini-notes to try rigging OSx86 into it.

I guess grandparent's question is an oxymoron... how to trade ISK when account expired and can't login anymore, hm?

You don't need to login to accept the offer. Can simply just go to the website, it will state that someone is offering you and you can just simply accept it from there. That is why I'm trying to verify it here FYI budn3kkid.

Ahh nevermind, found what I was searching for.

Q) What if my account is expired? I can't get in-game to check my EVE Mail!
A)The EVE Mail only notifies you that an offer has been made. You will always be able to login to your account management page whether your account has expired or not. Thus, if you arrange through the forums to purchase a GTC for a character, and the seller says "I have sent you the GTC" - at this point you log into the secure site and accept the GTC, no need for in game action whatsoever!

Q) What if my expired account doesn't have the required funds in their wallet?
A) This will not prevent you from transferring funds in from another account, at which point purchasing the GTC should not be an issue.

We have mini notebooks now, a few product line is launching this month so let me gather some confirmed info then post it here for you guys in the coming days.

As to the warranty, it'll be super duper expensive if you wanna extand after point of sale. 1yr warranty can go up to nearly 900 bucks sad.gif

But the standard 1yr warranty still applies, no?

By-the-by, it'll be interesting to see how Dell pulls off its first UMPC offering, especially with the unorthodox removal of F1~F12 keys. Now, instead of pressing CTRL-ALT-SHIFT-F1 (eg. in EVE), we'd now have to press 5 (FIVE) buttons. That's a full 4 fingers and a thumb! Egads...

Yes the 1yr warranty still applies, you can even upgrade up to 5yrs for certain models upon purchase, but after sales...it's gonna cost a bomb.

Did you mean ultra mini PC like this?

In the first 2 weeks? Well, if you're a hardcore I suppose it'll be easy.

I haven't spent a single $ on this game tongue.gif. Manage to live on ISK, but that time there was still 30days... only costing about 150M back then. But was using 90 days after that though.

Hmm I got lotsa free time to kill now so was thinking of playing this game now that buying GTC using ISK is so widely practised.
Any recommendations on what Race to roll and what to do when I first jump into the game?
How big a graphic enhancement is the Premium Graphic Content pack anyway?

Earning ISK is not hard, not easy as well. If you get the right skills + right tools + right place...it can be very profitable.

Not forgeting there are multiple ways of earning ISK at 1 go...so you got to observe what your char is good at, then exploit it with better skills and tools.
