LeechFever may as wut he claim he is (dat he couldnt do inking)or he may actually know or very well in inking but by reading his thread before, i think he got  ideas n comment dat can improve ppl's skill.
this is easy.... u can buy some comics from marvel, image or DC. u'll get a lots of references. my style, im combining west + hong kong comic style.

I think there is a misunderstanding here. If u r talking about ma previous work (aside from a couple using scan and ms paint air brush) I did, that was purely paint.net using mouse. Only ink I have is a black office pen, lol.

nice, been browsing through ur work. rclxms.gif One comment though hmm.gif . Ur art in drawing female character seem pretty good. But Male character, a bit lacking. I mean when I first look at ur Ironman, I thought is the female version, lol (no offence). Marcus from GOW looks decent but the chin a bit small (probably influence from too many female facial design) and he looks like he lost quite a lot of weight.

Keep up the good work. rclxms.gif

Sorry, dude. Liked the previous lazy one better. Did u draw from scratch or just trace? And the smiley face under the sig doesnt help either.

*
...................... sweat.gif By any chance r u using crayon?

Clear and clean painting is harder to do as to quick and messy which makes it more worthwhile.

if you can't even get the initial 'sketching' right, i wonder how can you push it to detail and finish?
*
Not sure what u mean by that, but different people have their own perference on how to get to the "detail and finish".

U can start with "quick and messy" first then end with "clean and clear" or just straight there if u good enough. Btw, are urs intended to be the former (Q & M) or latter (C & C)?

totally agree with that, there's no right way in art. my intention was just to show the things that could be improved, i'm not saying that i'm right all the time.

if you can't find them, you can always ask. though i think that the painting is already self explanatory. and i think i don't need to answer that question hehehe tongue.gif
*
lol, up to you. Can try to post up some of ur original work instead of "improving" others?

No. Really. Better to post own work than improve others cause that itself is stating others are not good (kind of pissing people off, I mean u as an "artist" should know right?). And a work done in 15 mins of course mostly does not yield a good result unless u r really really good like some here before.

haha that's just an understatement, i was just offering help unless you think that you are too good. tongue.gif oh my what am i doing here, correcting their anatomy, lighting, color... they don't even want it lol nvm. btw ur not talking about marelleno are you?

you continue what you doing bro. biggrin.gif
*
................................... sweat.gif err....ok. But suggest u open a new thread that offer improvement instead.

But really. Remaining anonymous without sharing can really hinder progress. Its why even some artistes and gamers do survey as a yard stick to see how good they are. Not rude or anything, just my 2 cents. Seem like u got talent if u think u can improve others so why not share? icon_idea.gif

i do share my progress somewhere else... there's a lot more local artists better out there. and i suggest the artists here be more open to critics, i didn't even say a word when i offer help, the guessing just brought us to somewhere irrelevant.
*
Sorry but I beg to differ, from the looks of it if u browse through the thread, they are accepting critics quite positively biggrin.gif and improving. Constructive criticms icon_idea.gif are actually more than welcome in this thread (as long as not too much bashing mad.gif ). Heck, u can comment mine all the way, good or bad (Lots of bad, isnt it?). Like what u did to improve mine and what's there to improve exactly if u dont mind telling? blush.gif

Btw, when u mean somewhere else as in where exactly? Cause Im a curious person. hmm.gif

PS: Im not trying to be rude, but seriously. If I modify ur drawing and simply put ur name on it without consent, wont that make u angry? U can copy, but dont put other people's name on it. Can create misunderstanding. I myself dont want to represent other people's hard work and get the credit.

Drawing modification to suggest improvement is ok but must at least give comments or else we kind of clueless. That's why its better to just produce ur own.

well to begin with i'm not really familiar with this forum, but from your replies i see it otherwise. see, I did modify the work, but I do quote their previous work, that alone justify my respect to its rightfully owner. If I make that work greater than the original, wouldn't that be more rude? See.. my emphasize was to correct something that I 'think' can be improved. but the way that you think that it's better to post my own work does not suggest it's going to be helpful to you given that I don't give any comment on my work either.  blush.gif

here i compile it once more again, so you can see the comparison yourself. again, i'm not boasting here.

first all, your anatomy, second your lighting, third your composition, fourth your skin tones and possible fifth, your storytelling ( wub.gif LeechFever)  drool.gif i kid about the fifth hahaha, but see... with just drawing i can simplify the long typing criticism, which I think can be more vague. If you are a practicing painter, you will always have to be aware with all the elements. and even with its in vaguely form, you can tell the other elements that you are missing.  smile.gif

I do post my work at cgtalk and dA. If you are curious enough pm me and I'll show you my sample of work, provide you respect my decision to remain anonymous.
*
That's the comment Im looking for. That clears out the vagueness. Btw, those are animes and some are not meant to be body proportion or else it wont be well....moe, lol brows.gif . Some clearly just initial sketches not really the complete work, lol. Some work, I got to admit I just simply made (cause dont have that much time to do the final tuning). Will do the final touchup if I can save enough to get a tablet or scanner. As for lighting, to quote what u said "I did that for only 15 minutes", so justified the result.

PS: Can do me one simple thing? Pls erase my Username from ur modified version. The one with the word "wet" on it.

wouldn't it be more blissful to ask in the first place?

the aesthetic of human anatomy can be applied in any form, if you truly understand it, you can make a non ideal looks good. i didn't mind my 'critiques' being called ugly at all, i was just practising and leaving the thinking to you guys unless asked.

oh, that 'wet'? hehehe I think we all like that.  laugh.gif sorry to much of a hassle to remove them unless entirely, but that'd be pointless to this 'Art Attack' thread right?  tongue.gif
*
Ummm...ok.....up to you rclxub.gif .

Just put a black bar over the name and what's the "pointless" part gotta do with removing username?

3rd package seem appropriate. Though it looks kinda like an obvious design, so my preference would go to the first.

Nice art. But to be honest, still need some refinement.I kind of liked Rukia's pic and the last chick's pic. Though Rukia's breast ain't that big brows.gif and the last pic on an anime girl has one of her finger (her right thumb) a bit too long.

Thanks cymon, leech n wilson.

Cymon ealier advice is very good. U can be technically good in painting and software knowledge but u have got to know the subject that ure trying to communicate with ur media. The final image/ illustration must meet the original intent or the artist. Before u lay ur hand on that wacom, know wut u wanna have in the end, although sometimes u'll discover something entirely different in the process.
*
Good advice. Though I normally (mostly) ends up with the "discover something entirely different in the process" in the end. Probably just me cause I usually just move my hand whenever I'm bored and never really give a thought of how it should end.

Again, love the illustration on the look alike bioshock structure. What softwares do u use to create that? Any 3D software involve? hmm.gif

Somehow I knew u r gonna do it if I present a half-ass work. But seriously, that was suppose to be an original character of my own and u r not really helping here. I dont think u urself will feel good if someone else copied ur art be it bad or better.
