QUOTE(azarimy @ Feb 11 2008, 08:35 PM) even in photoshop i use a lot of layers when painting actually. however, photoshop layers are more for photo manipulation and effects, while painter's are give more options on controlling the outcome of the media. i give up painter after misconfigure it which lag my system a lot, n nao still has been lazy to venture/explore it. the effect that u have is probably the paper surface setting in painter. bcoz of painter's ability to simulate media surfaces, what surface u attempt to sketch on will give different effects. for example, if u use pencils on a concrete wall it will definitely be different from bond paper. even papers have different types. there are watercolour papers, bond papers, tracing papers, soft papers and so on. the effect u have may actually be the setting on those rather than the layers itself. not forgetting that painter has loads of pencils to choose from i've moved on from photoshop to painter successfully in 6 months. yeah, it took me that long. the best thing i love about painter apart from its realistic media is the ability to rotate canvas at will. if u dont know this, the control is spacebar+left click+alt, and while holding the 3 buttons, drag ur mouse around. u'll arbitrarily rotate ur canvas. this imitates rotating ur paper in live drawing. beats rotating the tablet LOL. u can rotate canvas in photoshop as well, but not as easily as this. n i need to get OpenCanvas back for canvas rotating function from it. not to mention its easy to use (less complicated due to lesser function) neone here knows friendly local oekaki community? |

Fyonne, if you don't mind criticism...
I think you need to revise anatomy proportions not that I'm good at it, but it'd would look awesome together with your painting skills |

i painted on primary monitor n browse using 2ndary monitor, 1 project higher resolution in height, while the other in width, i used to drawn in wider one hence retrain me for looking overall, shrinking em will make harder to spot, only realise it after i see em in height monitor, when i posted em in other forum b4 posting here. since i already put it in imageshack, might as well post it here as well.

ok nice automotive illustration hehe. i love automotive illustration, so hehe here are mine. all done in Adobe Illustrator, trace bit to bit from the original pictures and took 52 hours to get it done, but still not in perfection. it's not realism, but something in between.
![]() ![]() Added on February 17, 2008, 12:32 pmok sorry guys, err i think i have wrongly posted. this thread is suposed to be for drawings right? oh mannnn what was i thinking? ok i know, i have not slept yet since i am rushing for deadline for a job and my client is right in front of me surfing with my WiFi at home haha. or maybe it's because of those concept automotive drawings that you guys posted and it got sexcited hehe. either way, forgive me people. My new concept car drawing....
This was Proton Waja GT1....since I like Proton Waja designation....so I created this GT variant, just like LM spec Porsche 911 GT1,Mclaren F1 GTR LM.... ![]() The tail has slightly longer with additional lips,& the front bodywork still retained the Waja trademark Streak line from hood all the way to the front grill, but this time it was made as low slug, sleek front profile. The rear door has transformed to engine bay,so the opening grabber has been design as hood detachable grabber. |
