QUOTE(NicJolin @ Dec 9 2008, 05:25 PM) Budget : RM2500 - RM3000 Since it's for a girl, I suggest getting a Dell Studio 15. With the basic specs you can get it for RM2999. Dell's after sales service is legendary. Usage : Online, documents, watching some drama and movies Good wireless adapter. Nice looking. Good after sales service Don't need good GPU, integrated will do. Eye-ing on HP , Dell , Compaq , Sony Its for girl Any recommendation guys? Thanks They also offer on site support with their warranty. http://www1.ap.dell.com/content/products/c...s=mydhs1&~ck=bt ![]() Buying from Dell online is a bit tricky if you wanna get the best deal. They always change their offers. One day they'd give you a free HDD upgrade, the next day it's gone. It's either you check their online store everyday or call them and negotiate - which is the best way. If you want better specs with lower prices however, you may want to consider some of the CQ40 or CQ45 models from HP Compaq. |

Oh thx for the reply
Yea the buying online is troublesome and the ram offered is only 1gb...Dont think it'll be pretty on vista with 1gb only My friend apparently has no credit / debit card So I was thinking is Dell selling laptop at the coming PC fair? If yes we could just grab it there How about sony? Any specs below 3k with PINK colour? lolz I've been eye-ing on the following models: Dell studio 15 HP Pavilion TX2520AU Compaq CQ40-103TU / CQ40-102TU Sony NR120E3 / NR120E2 / NR310E This post has been edited by NicJolin: Dec 10 2008, 01:16 PM |

BenQ R45 or BenQ S41?
One of this BenQ notebooks are best because of this reasons: a. Dedicated graphic cards (R45 = NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS, S41 = NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GS) b. Bigger hard disk c. Lightweight and compact d. Intriguing design e. Uses powerful processor (R45 = Intel Core2Duo T5750, S41 = Intel Core2Duo T7200) f. Built-in HDMI ports Problem is, between two of this BenQ notebooks as I stated above, they are quite awesome but phew.... I find its hard for me to decide which one models I should choose. Mr. Moderator, I hope u can help me decide which one of this BenQ notebooks I should pick up. I'm appreciate your help. |

Plus it uses the newer, more powerful P series cpu. |

What kind of free gift are you expecting? I wouldn't count on it being anything far superior than buying it directly from their online store.
On their site they'd say things like "Special PC Fair Promotion" but I see the same promos being rotated throughout the year. Added on December 10, 2008, 4:15 pmbtw I just checked the basic Dell Studio 15, their current promotion is free upgrade to 3GB. Valid till 15 Dec 08. Hey there! I looking for a new laptop for my dad. It's for business usage, mainly typing, internet and presentation. And if possible, lightweight.
1. Brand that I'm targetting: Asus (sounds good), Dell, Acer or HP. 2. Budget: Less than RM3000 3. Specs: - Windows XP and Office (both optional) - Wifi intergrated and bluetooth - Can do presentation (if graphic card not good, how to present it on big screen... right? 0.o) - Light weight (less than 2kg if possible) 4. Size: - Small or big, as long it is light 5. Targets: - Asus's Eee PC - HP Mini Reason that I still need surveying although I have the targets already is because I believe that slide presentation on big screen is quite impossible. Can someone enlighten me on this one? Thx! Thx in advance ya! |

Hello pips! I plan to buy a laptop this month.
My budget between rm2.2k and 2.5k, and I gona bring it to overseas next year. I use it to do basic tasks like word processing, watch muvies, listen songs, and web surf. I dont have a particular brand now, but I narrowd it to the following 5s (NOT in order); Asus, Lenovo, HP, Acer & Dell. Which brand & model do ya recommend? I guess my tasks are preety basic/normal and I am kinda tight on budget (I rather buy now in MY instead of at overseas, bcos itz cheaper here I got a few more questions: 1. Do the mentiond brands give me international warranty? 2. What add-ons/accesories you recommend? I thinkd of buying an external/portable HDD. 3. Izit wise 2wait after PC fair 2buy it? I read sum forumers claimd pips @ KL PC fair offer very attractive prices for lappies (eg. 3rd/last day of d fair). I prefer a standalone vid card (I not into gaming, quit it long time ago I know not much bout lappies, I hope ya all experts can help/guide me la. Thank you! |
