You know you can google Sins of A Solar Empire and go to the official webpage. You would be able to find the minimum requirement there. All you need to do is compare this minimum requirement with the laptop specs you are getting and you should know whether it will work or not. doh.gif

You know.. the system requirement or even the recommendation is not always correct all the time. Based on my experience and knowledge, I know the will be a different in the real situation than just a note. All what I ask for was if someone already played this game on his/her laptop. Give some input on it. I did google before I post here btw. And yes I don’t have days to google.

just ignore my bad word la.

oh okay...works great on my laptop...hope that helped. Wait what do you mean minimum requirement is not always correct? I never had issues with min spec before and they tend to be accurate...except if the min spec is a little vague. You dont need to reply to this if you feel it takes too much of your time.

Yeah,it's not 100% right most of the time because some laptop components are undercloak compare the desktop counterpart.Still,if it works on a desktop,it should work on a laptop with a slightly lower setting.

Well...the game still works but there are some obvious bugs. Like planet artifact bug...Whenever you colonise a planet with an artifact you get it immediately when you get the planet without any research... doh.gif

Beta Testing it so its our job to look for these bugs...some people have texture issues when they change graphic setting when playing a game(not serious)...

Yeah BETA...its to be expected...some changes/fixes may cause new bugs...there is a reason this is not release candidate yet...but the engine seems very solid and performs much better...AI I have been told is better(Devs claim this in the changelist and also some other testers in the forum atest to this) altough i haven't played enough with it to make a conclusion about this.

I think the performance has improved in the new beta patch.

It seems smoother now and the textures look damn nice now.

i see. Thanks for the input. smile.gif been waiting for this kind of game since Homeworld 2.

The thing is.. i'm going to buy laptop soon. Not sure if the XPS15" are the best since i much prefer 17" for bigger screen.

Dont worry,as long as your laptop have similar specs as my laptop,im sure Sins will look gorgeous.

Added on August 2, 2008, 10:23 pmIs it just me or Sins 1.09 looks much better than 1.05?

I really like their new Advent squadron ships redesign.

Dont worry about requirement of this game. It's very very low.

I think i want to try running this game on max in 1.09.
