that time really the cheapest already lar, normal price 3599, stock clearance price 2599, after discount 2350, very cheap already lor....

somehow that scratch doesn't looks like being scratch by knife or something sharp, is more like the cloth they used to clean the TV got sand or stone inside that causes the scratch shakehead.gif

next time i buy TV or other stuff i ask them dont clean it, just leave it as it is and pack it to me, i will do the cleaning myself.

Hmm, i'm also planning to get a LCD TV for ps3.
Any recommendations?

budget around below RM3k if possible and 32" would be sufficient ler + Full HD of couse xD
i was looking at the Samsung 32" series 4 and 5 but since the series 4 does not have HD so was contemplating on series 5.

Is there any other brands to suggest? xD

hey there...

i am thinking of getting a LCD tv mainly for my xbox and sometimes watching movies. will be putting it in my room. so considering the size around 32"/37". not too big my room is quite small.

was looking at the samsung series 5 or series 6 with FULL HD. would like to know wat's the difference between these 2 series comparing the same size maybe 32".

another thing is there a big difference between 60Hz and 100Hz? if i'm not mistaken for samsung they only have 100Hz for 40" and above rite? i dunno about other brands. maybe some of u can gimme some suggestions. thank you...

If you room is quite small better stick with 32". But then "small" is very subjective. And to be honest my eyes not fast enough to catch the difference between 60Hz and 100Hz.. I've tried many games on different panels yet still fail sad.gif

depends on how far you sit, if you buy a 37" buy sit very near, you will see the degrade in image quality.

samsung 6 series is newer than 5 series, i think the latest 6 series got DLNA, and 6 series can plug in pendrive, the newer 6 series can online.

i like the design of 6 series, 5 series also good, but the frame are too wide.

i do notice some difference between 60Hz and 100Hz, smoother image of course smile.gif

maybe you need to improve your eyes sharpness, but really not all people can see the difference

i thought the smoothness of the motion is not depends on the refresh rate.. its an added functions for some higher tv models like motion plus/true motion etc..

Motionflow/Motion plus fuction is to improve motion blur to increase sharpness of moving image. However this fuction cause the image display slightly delay. So it is not a good function for gaming since game need response from user. U can easily notice the delay if you play game like Guitar Hero but luckily we can calibrate so it should be no problem. So it is better to off the motion enhancement function while playing games.

1. yes
2. nice, for sure it has 24p
3. should be, since there's no major different between cheap and expensive cable, other than price

what is the advantage for having 24p?

sorry a bit noob question, what is the difference between HD ready and Full HD? heard HD ready is fair enough for watching dvd or playing PS3 cos gonna get a 32'' lcd JVC soon

and do I need a kind of converter for old consoles like NGC or PS2 if playing on a LCD screen?

thanks

Full HD = 1920 x 1080 resolution
HD Ready usually have 1366 x 768 as native on LCDs.

For PS2 and NGC I don't think you'd want to spend more on a converter as they should look reasonably well by default. Of course if you want a converter then by all means go for it, but a good one could cost another 32" LCD TV nod.gif

for PS2, i suggest to use component cable....that will improve the graphics drastically ... even GT4 can display at 1080i... thumbup.gif
