That was a close call dude. IMO, they are more likely to conduct checks during off-peak hours, imagine moving around the buses/trains during peak hours, I seldom take buses off peak hours/weekends, which probably explains why I haven't encountered any, but don't take my words for it.

Anyway, to answer your question, yes they do patrol the trains like they do with buses.

I would pay full fare instead of getting into trouble with the law enforcers..

Yeah.. their assessment is just like hell non-stop untill last week. i got to submit assessment every single week until week 12. But... there is really some way to finish ur homework, work for pocket money, watch movie/tv and gaming in whole week. anyway, the game i played is only CSS ... not really taking long time on it... hehe..

i think, it usually need a little bit of time to make use to Aussie system or probably Uni system, since you currently in first year...well, after 2-3 semester should be ok, i guess...

because, I also need to get used with Australian system during my first semester in Australian Uni...or perhaps I just play to much during my first degree in Malaysia?

For me.. yeah i will review those lect slides before i get into the class.. this give me at least what is going to be in the class, at the best things about it is I KNOW WHEN THE LECT GOING TO FINISH hehe. I not sure about others uni... in ECU.. the last week is a important week that lect might give u some hints what is going to come out.
Work hard and hard in ur assigment/assessment rather than review again again about lect slides.
I normally get a very high mark on my assignment and its help me get a nice grade at the end.
While u doing ur assingment, you knew that what you know what what you dun.. so figure it out and before exam review it..
by the way... this is my study style in "AUS"(in malaysia, macam ini study akan mati cepat). just tell what i does.

work smart, pick up good, throw unnecessary..thats me. finish tute before tute class, wat are you going to do in tute then?

I have a problem regarding study in Aus... Is tat we need to know eng very well and izit ease ti pass the eng assessment in Aus...

think global= open mind, accept different culture views pros/cons. but have own principal.As developed nation, and more globalise market system.Look at long run; be global people.
being kiasu isnt wrong, but being kiasu and not helping/share..thats bad,you got nothing wrong with your method, just need to redefine, interact more and share different view. Mate, you are in aussie, expect to have singapore, aussie, indian, china, japan, italian, irish or Uk ..many more, each of them have different views.

Yep yep, you should try to finish the tutorial questions before the tute classes.  That way you will be able to identify which problems you need help with, and then you can seek assistance from your tutor.. instead of getting home after the tute class and realising that you infact do not know how to do a particular question - thus needing to wait next week for your next tute

Work smart?  When you do homework, turn off the computer screen/tv/whatever.  Allocate a set amount of time; say 1 hour to finish those tute questions? This will help you not to stall as much   Try and get your work done asap so that you can go out on weekends and feel refreshed for uni once again when it comes around on Monday.
