Ugh, LOL I'm stuck half way at the course selection page.
I got conditional admit, but when I press continue, it says "THere are no valid courses for you to choose from".
I have outstanding documents though, my Final Results and Proof that I've completed my diploma. But I'm yet to receive those until maybe ... June or something.

I previously applied from IDP as well, but the documents never reached UNSW, they only reach ANU.
*
Dont worry,it will take some time to get there.

Recently I went to IDP Penang and applied for a course start on February next year, and they told me I've to wait for another 3-4 weeks ( or maybe less ) to receive a offer letter by the college, I wonder this is a normal process by the college or IDP Malaysia ( Penang ) ?
*
You have to wait for a while.I remember that University of Sydney took more than 1 month to send me the offer.

We under student visa can stay on a further 18 months after our course ends.

Yeah,i think you need to apply in advance of 6 months before your student visa ends.

Thats what the DIAC officer says during the talk.

You'll need long sleeved clothing and jackets. As it doesn't get any colder than 8 degrees, you don't really need any special clothing (your friend is correct). Sydney doesn't get very cold, but since you're living in a coastal area, it can get windy. It only snows in the mountain ranges.
*
So,a sports jacket should be enough, right?

Im kinda worried the temperature at night because it's very hard to study late at night.

Im studying in UNSW anyway.Doing first year Civil Engineering.

I find the lecturers are really good.

I choose UNSW cause it's cheaper compare to Melbourne.

The difference is only approximately less than A$3000 as UNSW has also increased its fees. All you guys on a scholarship, does your award increase proportionally to the increase in tuition fees?
*
I calculated the total fees and living cost for UNSW and Melb Uni.

Melb Uni cost a lot more in the end, compare to UNSW.

Anyway,UNSW is a nice place to study. It's just too hectic for me.Still not used to the 12 weeks and endless test system.

You mean UNSW is a nice place to study but abit too hectic for you because of the endless test system ?
*
Yeah.

Im having a midsession exam next week. doh.gif Have to do the past year papers.

QUOTE(SeeD @ Apr 25 2008, 03:41 PM)
But looks like you're doing IT.
I'm doing Engineering. So ... I don't know what'll happen.
Because my dad expects me to work part time as well. So ... I need to know how much contact hours do we actually have.
But from your feedbacks I guess it should be enough for me to score a balance in both studies and working. Not sure laugh.gif
*
For engineering,i dont think you can work and study at the same time. There isnt much time left after you do all your weekly tuts and study.

Or maybe im just bad at time management. doh.gif

smth wrong with them? if you can do it why dont you do it too?
*
I just dont know what to say.

I have a China man in my team for ENGG1000.He didnt contribute anything so far.

Guess working 2-3 jobs is the reason he didnt do anything.

Im not desperate for money and my parents gave me sufficient amount.

The only reason i will work is for a dream quad/octa core gaming machine with 2 9800 GTX2 and 4GB RAM. drool.gif

Yeap, I'll be staying an hour away from the University.
I think, that's what my cousin told me. Have to sit train, then bus. BLUR ~~
*
I think it would be better to stay near the uni.The actual distance you have to walk in the uni is quite far.

QUOTE(december88 @ Apr 26 2008, 12:52 PM)
true, maths assignments are a real killer. commerce ppl hav it real easy(i mean schedule wise), one of my mates is like so care-free, go uni 3 times a week. haih ..... i wish i could do that too.
*
Yeah,it's endless.

Im still doing it now and im feeling lazy. doh.gif

Yeah, could be a good idea cause by next year, you'll have a bunch of trust able friends that you can live with.

If not, you'll meet all sorts of weird people.

I think it's ok here.

It's up to you anyway.I prefer to have 1 thread for studying in australia than 2.
