hey guyz, can somebody help me with this... I juz got my mobile phone unlocked at the 3 shop this afternoon. So I was wondering is it possible to post it back home? or anyone actually had exprerience with this?

and yeah.. I'm worried abt security of the delivery. I had a quick run-thru on the Australia Post website, the air-mail offers the most affordable method but it does not require addressee for the signature-on-delivery, if I'm not mistaken

so, anyone.. ANYONE pls, shed some light on this or tell me some story about u or your fellow friends as to posting handphone back home
Thank you v much!  icon_rolleyes.gif

If you want to go around the Gold Coast, I'd strongly recommend renting a car. Getting around with public transport alone to the attractions along the GC is a nightmare.
*
Seconded that. It's hard to travel with public transport since the distance is far.

talked with a guy on facebook blackjack table who studies at melb uni, said that melb > unsw for mech eng. can anyone clarify this?
*
Still,i think UNSW is better than Mel U because UNSW is a technical based uni from the start and they have the facilities to accommodate a large amount of students.

It's up to you where you want to go in the end.

I have enjoyed myself in Sydney so far and i think UNSW is a great place to study.

Back to study.

Second that!
With 12 week session in effect (we used to have 14 weeks, so less cramming), mid session break in Week 3 (wtf!) and the loss of our beloved StuVac, this is the toughest session at UNSW by far.
*
Yeah, thats really wtf lah.12 weeks is very little time to study.Have ot start studying now. doh.gif

Whats StuVac by the way?

You only got 2 more semester to go.I still got 7 more to go though.

StuVac is our study leave before the final examinations. We used to have on average 1 week of StuVac previously.
I didn't realized that we don't have StuVac this year though :S
*
I dont even have the chance to have a StuVac.

Hope i'll survive though this.It seems scary.

Whats the reason of UNSW shortening a semester to 12 weeks?Trying to kill more students?

I'm pretty sure there should still be StuVac, probably just 2-3 days rather than a week.
The official line is that a 12 week semester is in line with other Go8 universities as previously we had the longest running session.
*
Ok,that doesnt sound so bad after all.

I'll do it balance, yin and yeng style, morning or afternoon wake up spend few hours researching and doing assignment(gather information), tea break for half hours then countinue for few hours, after that i go play psp,DS or whatever i do to enjoy myself for the rest of the day. For example like 12pm-4pm go do assignment, after that i gonna play the whole day. So yea, this is how i plan for the easter holiday... cant study the whole day, for some people can do it, but for me... "This Is Madness". laugh.gif
*
Yeah, most likely i'll do that too or one day hardcore study and i'll spent the next day in the city.

UNSW Computing is now trialling online video delivery of lectures much like what UC Berkeley and MIT is doing in the US. Here's a complete lecture for first year Computing.

http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=JA_G8XbVYug&feature=user

P.S. The Windows mishaps were intentional, just to gauge student response.
*
Is the whole of first year computing in there?

Cant seem to find the one i'll do in my next semester.

Who's the lecturer in the video?

Im gonna challenge myself to sit on a different place tomorrow, just like what he says.Kinda bored sitting with the same guy in every lecture. yawn.gif

Same as me.I dont make friends easily.

At least i have to try,if not,i got no friends. It feels horrible to do everything alone.
