Because my OSHC starts at 14th and I'm not allowed to be in Aussie before that date. And the flights that I can choose are 8th and 13th ...

So as long as I have my student visa, I can go at 8th and there wouldn't be any complications at all right?
*
Yeah,it should be ok.The student visa is more important.

@SeeD

Yeah, you are not allowed to take GenEds from your own faculty. However having said that, sometimes you will not be able to take certain subjects from certain faculties either, for example, commerce students are not allowed to take certain GenEds from the law faculty. I am not sure about engineering students, it's best if you check the Handbook for more information.
*
You have to take subjects from other faculty.Thats what i saw told.

Cant take that electronic circuitry subject adi.

hey .... with a UK BEng degree (3 years since it is UK), if i were to do my master in Australia, how long would it takes  ? im referring to engineering master ( electronic ).
From what I know, I would require to take 1 year some sort of pre-postgraduate course. then continue for 1 more year for the actual master course. Is that true ? ...if so, then it would take 2 years in total for a master ? can someone clarify for me ?
thanks.. Also, can someone recommend which uni in aussie that is renowned for the master (electronic) which im looking for ?
*
I think UNSW is suitable for you. They are strong in engineering, especially in fields in electronics and computing.

Ah, damn it. That shopkeeper tried to convince me to spend hundreds ringgits to purchase a license for Office 2007, telling me the airport checking stuff. Luckily i was not convinced.

To be safe, i will make sure my laptop is not containing any pirated software before entering the airplane.

What are the solutions for you guys? Using the licensed Office 2007/2003 to do your assignments?
*
Im still using Office 2000.Not ori one.

I really doubt that they gonna check every single software in your com.

I have like 10+ games,Maple,AutoCAD and the list goes on.

How are they going to check all of them?I even have an ori game that it like a pirated game. You dont even need to touch the CD Key at all.How are they going to differentiate the pirated copy and the original copy of that game?

If they are so concern about piracy, they might as well block BT since most people just download softwares from there.

Oh yeah, my handphone died a few weeks ago. And I'm finding a replacement.
But my cousin at aussie said it's better if I can get a 2 years contract for a free phone.
What do you think?
*
Yeah, you can get a free phone that cost around 1k in Malaysia.

Im using 3 now.I manage to get my new phone and number in 1 day's time. You should be able to that.

The disadvantage of using 3 is the signal can be very weak at times.

This is exactly the problem. If you can't afford the commercial software, DON'T USE IT. There are FREE alternatives for you, which works just as well.
Software developers spend considerable time and effort developing these applications and they deserve respect and compensation for their work (you would pay to see a doctor wouldn't you?). Just because it is easy to pirate these software doesn't make it right to do so.

If you had no support for such software, do you think society will be able to progress as it has? The software industry has contributed more to society in the past 4 decades than most others have managed to.
*
Kinda agree with you.

If you cant afford originals, find free alternatives. If i still cant free alternatives, time to pirate. tongue.gif

I have been doing this for games for years. If i want a game, save, save and save to a copy.I dont BT games and trying to avoid buying pirated if possible.Developers spend a lot of time to make these software and we should show them some appreciation by buying originals.Thats the least i can do.

If i have money(ie 10k),i'll buy original single license for AutoCAD too. It's gonna be an important software to me and i want it to work well.
