I think you need to relax when playing violin. For your left fingers, you do not need to press the notes hard. Every notes violinist press does not have to be hard and we all play it smoothly. The violin will not hurt you, you are controlling the violin so all you have to do is relax.

Well well, as said country music for violin needs a different bow. Some for rock music and etc.. a lot.

classical players also need different bows, some bow suitable for baroque pieces, some for classical, some for romantic pieces. also some are backup bows for situation like outdoor, you wouldn't want to mess around with an expensive bow.

I tried going easy on it just now, and guess what? It was a lot better than before.
Although still a little shakey here and there. I realised my grip wasnt stable enough. Maybe thats why its shakey. XD

oh yea...that day i was talking to my friend bout the sound,some dude just came and talk how bad the violin screech was...i was like,dude,do you even play violin? man...

Cheap violins like Skylark with cheap bow and bad rosin = screeching like a whistle.

Especially on the first string, very annoying.

lolz...usually instead of getting a beginners violin like skylark,i would rather keep enough cash to get a handmade higher average violin...but its good to exp lower end violins first so you can differentiate the sounds

I would recommend Valencia violins that Woh Fatt sells. It is better than Skylark two times. Price is about RM50 more.
