I have an inquiry to make.. I'm running on a 1.1.2 firmware with PSS SIM iPhone and had this problem whereby after I update the Installer (due to the fact that Installer requires and update recently) that I stumble into a bit of a jam when after my Installer had been updated, once I logged back into the main menu and tried clicking on the Installer.. it goes straight back to the menu instead of using the Installer..

Is there any solution to this problem I've encountered ?

rumors saying fw1.1.3 hit apple store US edi.

unable to identify which fw thru s/n weeks now...beware. sum might been upgraded n repack back. do check them 1st.

so..fw1.1.2 is limited now.

Can any1 tell me when you buy iphone, what features will you test with? something like sms/ call-in, call-out/ wifi/ and bla bla??
When reading the thread, i was wondering what is "EDGE" and what's the summerboard ?? Can any1 kindly explain to me?

here is what you should test:

1. call in/put
2. sms in/out
3. youtube
4. edge/gprs

i think those 4 are prone to problems.

1. The first I would check is whether your System Partition is full by issuing this command using Putty or VT-100:

df -h

If it is more than 90% usage then I suggest you make a Symlink to your Media partition.

2. Clear the cache in this directory : /private/var/root/Library/Installer/

3. Find the last app you installed before/after you updated your Installer. Those may be the culprits.

4. If that don't work, try remove Installer.app using SSH and upload an older version of Installer also using SSH. Don't forget to set permission to 0755.

U can use theme with either Summerboard or Customize. U can also hide icons using Customize or Poof (in case u wanna hide iTunes Store icon).

hmmm .. just realize,donu u guys know it not.
When u calling or receiving call, If ur phone stick to ur ear,the light will turn off. But when u take off from it,the light will on it back.

it is becoz of the proximity sensor.

edge is a data rate protocol like of gprs, wap. it's faster than those two but slower than 3G.

summerboard is a program to change theme on iphone
