Hi sifus.


I am getting an iphone straight from the states in the coming weeks. However, do I need to purchase stealthsim or turbosim to unlock my phone? Or can I just follow the instructions from iclarified?

No need to use those sim addons anymore.... if u want it, i can offer u mine! Hehe.
U just use ziphone to activate, jailbreak n unlock it.. totally FOC.

hmm, seems like you've had better luck getting all the programs to run. Did you tweak the iphone in anyway?

So wat's the difference between 1.1.3 and 1.1.4.
Any significant difference in performance?

It debug firmware(1.1.4), so difficult to see the different if you didn't have issue with 1.1.3

for me doesn't really matter.. i dun have alot of third party apps..
probably upgrade to 1.1.4 later tonight..

alright fixed my problems by restoring the phone. They've made jailbreaking and unlock pretty much a one step process.

lucky i have 2 iphones.. got a chance to test out on one 1.0.2OTB before testing on my 1.1.2otb

1.1.4 reports that i read so far all using "restore 1.1.4 thru iTunes and reinstall apps", my question is -

Can I just upgrade to 1.1.4 and retain ALL apps that I installed?

I don't wanna reinstall all my apps again...

better not... best to do a full restore..
and one iphone successfully upgraded to 1.1.4.. time to test it out..

I'm gonna skip 1.1.4 this time. No difference to 1.1.3 so I'm not gonna waste time this round. Perfectly happy with my 1.1.3 Nate True JB.

Are you using OTB 1.1.2 ? Did you downgrade your BL ? Can your bluetooth work ? Your GoogleMap able to triangulate ?

My iPhone is 1.1.1 OTB BL 3.9. Bluetooth tested ok. Map also triangulate as expected.

Hehe i see. I am so outdated, I didnt know those sim addons is useless already now. Btw are there any important applications to install after the firware upgrade? I found so many from iclarified, which one is a neccessity?The one that trasfer sim contacts to phone is important to me. Other than that?

1.1.4 firmware is the sign of SDK apps on the firmware and maybe the starting firmware point for it.

remember to install BSD subsystem and open SSH
