Yes those are the exact directories I put them in; I've also installed iWorld but I get an error whenever I try and start it up -- something to do with a 'Size Mismatch, Appsupport framework is not supported' on my 1.1.3 phone.

Did you move the template:

to the top of the PhoneNumberTemplates.txt file? That is what I did but my incoming numbers still do not match. Outgoing numbers match..wierd huh.

Then it means u sumhow screwed up the file renaming part. If u drag the .m4a file onto desktop n rename it on desktop to .m4r correctly, after that u just double click on it n it will go straight into the Ringtones folder in iTunes. Go change ur windows settings. U need to untick "Hide all file extensions"

Ya I edited it n moved it to the top. I deleted most of the weird countries too.

maybe i need to delete other stuff, checking it out.

Hey OmniAtlas i just checked your message. Well, hmmm....I think you should downgrade to 1.1.1>1.1.2 install iWorld 1st, then upgrade to 1.1.3 and see if the problem persists

okay this is really wierd -- phone calls receive and match with caller id now. but SMS does not match..anyone else have this problem?

Added on January 28, 2008, 9:30 pmi was on 1.1.2 with iworld installed, everything was working, then i upgraded to 1.1.3, iworld disappeared, so i reinstalled it. i've reset my phone, and it seems like incoming/outgoing calls are okay; its only the SMS that do not match; its like i have 2 threads, one for incoming and 1 for outgoing. The outgoing matches with the name, the incoming matches to the phone number..

That still means that you don't have the appsupport copied correctly.

This is what i did. 1.1.2 with iWorld installed. Upgraded to 1.1.3, did not reinstall iWorld, did the appsupport patch, and it worked.

Make sure you create the Support directory in /System/Library/Frameworks/Appsupport.framework

Copy Appsupport & appsupport.original to /System/Library/Frameworks/Appsupport.framework, not into the Support folder u just created.

Then copy the two phone files into your Support folder. Before copying, make sure u've edited the PhoneNumberTemplates.txt to match Malaysia. Then ssh it into the Support folder. Reboot your iphone and it should work.

I'm going to try the new AppSupport file posted on the forum, hopefully that should work.

sussesfully upgrated to 1.1.3 everything works ok exept for the callerid in SMS.

my carrier sents itentification for sms messages with
+ (country code) (phonenumber)
and
(phonenumber) only when receiving a call
in address book if u fix the one you brake the other

anyone got a fix for the international caller id for version 1.1.3 ?

Hi all, I have a weird problem with my iphone. After switching to DiGi simcard and tried to call out using the keypad and entering any number, it just goes back to the main menu. Same problem with sms. Using predefined contacts entered to call will give "call failed error. When calls come in, I can't see or hear as the phone just freezes. The recent call log also does not work. I'm using version 1.12 which was updated from out of the box 1.1.1

I've installed iWorld and selected Malaysia as default country but same problem persist. Even tried Maxis and Hotlink simcard but same problem persist.

PS: I have been using this iphone in Singapore for couple of month using singapore telco (Starhub/Singtel) simcard and no such problem persist.

im currently using the iphone and felt that my prepaid hotlink account balance decreases tremendously, it seems that the EDGE has something to do with it....and whenever i surf at any wireless point no matter at my home or college, the usage of edge which could be found at the setting increases..its strange that im using free wifi not from edge. but the Edge network data increases although im using the college or my home's wifi....
pls enlighten me and can i stop the Edge service??...thank you

I am on Digi. N yes Digi sends the SMS with +6016 n calls come in as 016. That's y all my calls were showing as names n SMS were just numbers. After doing the AppSupport patch, my SMS shows names once again.

Just put "DISABLE" or some other name that doesnt match ur telco's APN name in the Network settings. There's no way it can connect without a proper APN name.

Very excited lor with new 1.1.3 JB. Sure, i will not working for one week just to fix the problem. Never mind, i will stay with proven 1.1.2.
