They are a few ppl that adopts adult chelonians in here so dont worry.

Too much long beans would make them like that. Try to starve them and give other food.

ST shouldnt be feed all the time ? i always let my ST food dish full of food....

3-4 times per week, to simulate their natural eating behavior. Rapid growth leads to shorter lifespan, so please take note.

Feeding them daily would make their digestive system overworked and leads to early failure.

Better not lah... as what i know, they need sometime to digest their food... Some more, your ST will grow bigger than their age, which is unbalance..... So, better feed them 2 days once.

On this topic, any idea as to at how many years then the SCL should be approximately how long?
Like mine is from about 2 inches..7-8 years..6 inches SCL..would this be normal?

that is normal, since yours already 6 inch in 7-8 years i bet its a male ?

If feed rubbish food ( high protein , low fiber) all the time the failure will be in renel system !! But if let browse on lawn / grass all the time then no problem done as grass are low protein high fiber type of food !!!

If the intestine is not full how to " push " the old shit from yesterday's Breakfast / Dinner out of system !!! LOL but smaller ration into more meals , I agree

*If they are hungry they will seek out anything that look like food ie. substrate - wood chip , corn cob , wood shave , pebbles ....etc and eat them

But at the moment I dont have any chelonian as pets so you people can choose to ignore me !!!!!

thats my problem.they will eat wood chip if i didnt feed 'em..

Then i guess better standby with some pallets lor.. If they feel hungry, then they will Makan the pallets not the wood chips at lease...
Anyway, i suggest you to change your bedding from woodchips to Cat Litter Recycle Paper
