hey...! everybody
since half month nobody post here

wan to ask currently wat is the price for this camera... last 2 weeks went to gurney foto president quote me RM2980 for body + kit lens and the promoters also very lan si vmad.gif ... so hows KL selling for this
*
Bought 2 weeks ago from Boeing at RM 2599 for the body + eos beg + 2 gb sd card + payment by credit card. Body alone RM 2500 cash. Credit card RM 2500 + 2% = RM 2550. So might as well pay RM 2599. The beg not bad, look almost identical to Crumpler 7 million.

since no one answer me at the buying advice topic..maybe better I ask here..

mm..I want to ask for a n opinion...between Nikon D60 + 16-85 lens and Canon 450D + 24-105L IS...which has better value for money? Or should I wait for D90 (if it ever comes out) with 16-85?

... I am considering these two models cuz, the lenses are very good optically (from what I saw in slrgear.com)..the 450D + 24-105L will need me to save around USD1800..while the D60 + 16-85 will need me to save around USD1200..(and if D90 comes and prices like the D80 when it first released, it will cost me USD1800 too)..

..am thinking of a DSLR that can be further upgraded in the future to an advanced one, like D300 or 40D..don't think will go FF...and Canon new EF-S lenses are quite good optically...I won't be using the dslr for bird-photography or any type of telephoto-ing much..mostly I will use it for travel, street and indoor photography..

..noob here

Ok, I will most likely be at purchasing my 450D this Saturday. I'll probably bundle the Tamron 17-50mm and Sigma 18-200 OS with my purchase. Perhaps a Nissin Di622 flash. That's about it.

I understand not all shops has Tamron 17-50mm. Can someone advise, which shop to go to?

lol..I am a Canon supporter too..have been thinking bout the 450D since before its launch..but Nikon 16-85 lens looks so sweet and cheaper...

..but then again..after looking here and there for lens review..looks like my plan is to save up to 3k USD n spending it for 450D + EFS17-55 + FE24-105L drool.gif drool.gif drool.gif

the 24-105L F4 IS is a great walkaround lens

D60 has a draw back that it doesn't have a motor on the body and thus relying on the inbuilt motor in the lens. That said some of the lens will need to be on MF like the 50mm f1.8

Why get 24-105mm when you have 17-55mm f2.8 IS USM? If you plan to get the 17-55mm f2.8 IS USM, why don't couple it with a 70-200mm f2.8 L? biggrin.gif

Where is Leo's Ampang? Care to also share with me how you check your lens determining it's sharp sharp?

selangor foto at pertama complex.. can nego kau kau.. and good thing is no surcharge for credit card.. rclxm9.gif i bought my tammy 17-50 and 580EXII from there too..

currently using 400D... aside the features, still think that 400D built materials is better than 450D cos alot heavier.. 450D is like plastic... no offense.. the only thing i hate 400D/450D is the shutter sound (sounds like amateur).. haha.. now thinking to save money to upgrade to 40D..
