Bengal cannot eat normal pellets?

yes they do eat kibbles like other home cats eat. but bengal is more towards the wild. its not like persian, maine coon, etc. bengal is like forest cats. most breeder will give raw food to their cats. chicken, fish, meat. other breeds or cats also eat this. like i mention before i do give chicken and tuna twice a week to all my kucing kampung and long hair.

This makes me wonder. How much do you spend their foods, litter, etc etc? Sounds so expensive.

my cats, i have 6. the others is under my housemate budgets.

the 6 cats (per month budget)
- proformance 10kg per month RM98
- litter clay type 20 litres RM40-RM42
- litter okoplus pine type 10 litres RM40-RM42
- 2 chicken around RM25-30 (by kilogram)
- Fishes RM20.
- supplements RM40.
- milk powder RM36 (this one normally i mix with my boil chicken and fishes).
p/s sometimes this monthly budget get alil bit lower if there's still balance from previous month. so kena pandai pandai budget the food & litter. Like food you need to estimate how much they eat per day. I normally will throw the over expose kibbles. same goes to litter, i will budget it when i put it - since im cleaning it 3 times a day, so no need to pour half of the pack, u end up wasting all of it if it get dirty (u end up throw the whole litter).

the 6 cats (non montly budget)
- shampoo (i change for testing, so depends on brand)
- conditioner (i change for testing, so depends on brand)

May i know why must get deworm regularly?
*

If your cat got worms it is a terrible thing and they will most likely suffer and not feel comfortable.

Some of the things or signs is, eating less...

Bloated tummy...

And wet poo...

If you keep your cats indoor especially or are close to your cats, you wouldn't want them to have worms.

I found out that the kittens I brought back got worms. And it's those big, long and white ones (I think its hook worms or something) Found it in their litter... Yucks! No wonder they seems bloated for their size...

So I just bought a deworm tablet and gave them.

The very next day I found a WHOLE LOT OF WORMS in the litter tray! All tied and tangled up! Very geli that I almost puked!

Now they are doing fine smile.gif

You can actually deworm yourself after the first time done at the vet.

Just get the deworm tablet which cost appx. RM5-RM10 (depending on where you buy it)

1 tablet is for a 4kg cat. So if your cat is 2kg, just give half a tablet.

Who got bengal here?

If the flea shampoo is a very good one, and the flea is little, chances are you don't need to do Frontline treatment.

But if the flea is a lot, then skip the shampoo, just go for Frontline or else you will double the cost of treatment.

i have tried shampoo before. no no no it didnt work at all sad.gif i have tried so many shampoo, from cheap to the expensive one cost RM40-50. Still the same... it kill so slow, and at the same time, the fleas already cabut lari towards the house stuff like carpet, shoes, cushion.

this is the method im using if you want it to be fast before the fleas having party at your home...

- go get frontline spray or spot on. (up to you to choose which you prefer), if you spray, make sure it will spray the whole body part. if you do not know how, bring your cat to the vet, purchase that frontline spray and ask the vet to demo you how to put.

- always vacuum your house carpet.

- if you have too many fleas that cannot control already, it means, the fleas is not only on the cat body, they have making home of your property especially the carpet, wash it, or spray with home fleas killer (can get at the vets).

p/s i hope you dont have too much problem on fleas, and i hope it only attack your cats. because it get very hard if fleas attack your house stuff.

AND REMEMBER ALL THIS CHEMICAL WILL NOT KILL THE FLEAS EGG. that is the reason i use spot on frontline, because it will suck into the skin layer, although you bath the cats, it will not fade away in the skin. so the egg that become fleas, when they suck your cat blood, it will contain frontline. they will died for sure. spot on can last on a cat body for 3-4 months. and ofcourse the spot on is expensive than the spray one.

i don;t have alot of money for real. but then since im caring for this cat, my rezeki - alhamdulillah cukup dan sederhana smile.gif because my cat pray for me to be happy all the time nod.gif

krynzpeaches already answer the over expose kibble thinggy smile.gif its like the food has not being eaten for so long already. more than 3 days. that is why i control their feed, first i will to put half cup, see if they can finish it or not. if they did, then continue with half cup. they will meowing on me if the food is finish and they want it. my cat won't it expose kibbles that has been on air for so long.

i did my experiment, one bowl of expose kibbles about 3 days. another one with fresh kibble from the container. they will go to the fresh one and leave the expose kibbles. i normally will throw the expose too long kibbles (it will turn in color for 3 days - you can see it looks more dry than the new one).

so, throw is a waste right. then we need to use our imagination and estimation on feeding the cat smile.gif

Ohh, so far the shampoo I used for the kittens worked oh... No fleas detected anymore... hmm.gif

Yeah, if the food/kibbles are exposed too long, Oren also won't eat... Even there's still some left in the bowl he will keep on meowing for food. Show him the ones in the bowl, ignore... Put fresh one baru makan sweat.gif

Dia pun pandai don't wanna eat kibbles yang masuk angin one tongue.gif

yea, if early stage of fleas detect shampoo can help. anyway he/she can try any of this method, but i still recommend frontline to faster kill. and oh yea, if you do not want the fleas to jump on other cat, don't mix them. but remember, once one cat got fleas, it will jump on all cats. imagine my situation, i have 1 cat with fleas, the next few week, all 6 cats got fleas sad.gif. killing fleas on one cat only will not solve your problem. you need to do it all in one time. 6 cats mean do all 6 at the same time. if you do it step by step, like today one cat, next week one cat, etc... they fleas will jump on other cat to protect their self.

about the expose kibbles, that is the reason why people say:

"If you have dog, you will be their master"

but

"If you have cat, cat is the master"

Haha, yeah...

I still prefer to be the master(well atleast sometimes) thats why it's kindda hard for me if I have a cat that won't listen...

Lucky that Oren DOES listen to me most of the times and understands what I like and don't like or what I allow him to do and not to do. He tries his best not to mess with me and I love him for that wub.gif

Biggest example is about the rule where he is NOT suppose to go into my gliders room...

No doubt it is a cats nature to be intrigued by small animal, movements and sound, so does Oren... Try as he may, sometimes he will wander into the room if I leave the door open, most of the time he will just sit at a distance away from the cage and watch in amazements my gliders jumping about... As soon as I found out and stand at the doorway, he will immediately get up and out of the room! Haha, he knows he's not supposed to go in there wink.gif

Ohh, the original Pixie-Bob breed founder told me that she can ship to Malaysia and that when I'm ready, just let her know and she'll work as hard as she can to get me a Pixie-Bob kitten! Woohoo!! rclxm9.gif

One of my cats does exactly the same thing doh.gif . When he does this we pretend to add more but actually we just open the container and stir the bowl with an empty scoop, Sometimes he falls for it sometimes he wont laugh.gif Sometimes all we need to do is top up with a few fresh ones and he will finish everything.

Actually the other point against neutering is that, if we have a Persian, and a Norwegian forest cat, will the surgery cause the fur to be disturbed ?

For male cat - if the back part, the testicle has too much long fur, the vet will trime alil bit of it.

For female cat - yes the fur around the nipples will be shave... even short hair will be shave. its somewhere the tummy.

afterall this cannot be the excuse for not neutering your beloved cats. the fur itself will grow again. its not like end of the world of shaving or trimming the fur tongue.gif

so far i didnt try to flame although my signature is like that. but i have a cat at home. its quite useless unless its a fat collecter. doctors ask me to put it on a diet already but if dont feed it the fella will sendiri go cari makan or go steal my dogs food.(cause its bigger than the dog already)
