I'm not really sure how old is the kitten, but i think its still young around 1-2 weeks i guess.
About the litter (sand/crystal/pine wood). How much do they usually cost? How does this thing work by the way? Do i scoop out the poop when they poop on them or replace the litter ?
Ohh yeah, is it really necessary buying a cage for a kitten ?
ouch 1-2 weeks? very fragile!! don't the kittens have their mother? if they have mother, better let them stay with their mother until 2-3 months. unless, if orphan you really need more time, and bottle feed them. they will always meow meow and scream for milk like every 2 hours.
sand is the cheapest, then crystal, and then pine wood. all of them have their own advantages. sand can easily get at any hypermarket. the cheapest the like giant brand, tesco brand, etc. and other sand/clay brand will cost around Rm12-15 like that lah. for a start you can use sand/clay, just make sure its clumping hard

you will need to scoop the pee and poo poo atleast twice a day. just scoop the dirty one and throw. let them use the remain one. if it become lesser, add more litter.
but if the cat age is 1-2 weeks, you don't need litter and litter box, they can't even really see well, still blur blur, and they can't even walk. they will just pee and poo anywhere.
at this age, cage is not necessary, you can just put them in a big box with towel. but at room temperature. new born kitten need warm air condition.
but you need cage if the kitten is about 2-3 months above. why?
- you need to toilet train them. so cage is useful for them training poo and pee inside the litter box.
- they are small, you need to keep them inside the cage, else they will walk around actively, you might not want people to step on them. so cage is very useful at young age.
again, if the kitten is 1-2 weeks old, you do not need all this, all you need to buy is milk for kitten/cat at petshop, the bottle to feed them (can buy in petshop), a box, used towel, some tissue for you to wipe them and clean them (dont bath them at this age).
if you have successful rising them until age 2-3 months, then you can start thinking of getting the litter, litter box, sccop, cage, wet food, kibbles food, toys, shampoo, grooming items, etc
