btw, does anybody find any good deal for cat's litter? i change mine every 2 days, but now since my cats all getting bigger, i think i have to change everyday.

i spend on tesco cat litter, sometimes purina tidy cat, each is about rm12, so one month so far if i change twice a day is 8 bags per month is almost rm100 monthly sweat.gif if i were to change everyday, i have to double that.

icon_question.gif any idea where to find cheapest cat litter? i dont need super absorbent or whatever since im changing it daily anyway.

Keh3, my name is so confusing.. xD

For the litter, i use... er, forgot the brand, but rm10 per 10kg, but i will only use it when i jail my cats, if not, they will just poop outside.

your name agak confusing la. abang plus brother lagi sweat.gif

wah, rm10 for 10kg is super cheap..! purina tidy cats rm11++ if for 4.5kg only. if you free, can help me recommend the brand and place you buy? hehe thanks icon_rolleyes.gif i dont let my cats out. i scared they poop at my neighbour's garden

OKOPLUS... 10 litter is like how much ya? i normally use kg. must check out. is it like only sell in pet shop? i dont think i seen that brand in hyper market before hmm.gif but seems expensive. coz i have 8 cats ya, 10 little dont be sufficient for one month.

it's just that i heard that pregnant women cannot be exposed to cat litter due to parasite Toxoplasma gondii come from cat urine which can cause miscarriage or premature in newborn. im getting married in near future, just maintaining cleanest life style as possible, just incase im expecting the little ones soon laugh.gif and i dont want to get rid of my kitties

Added on February 11, 2008, 3:40 pmthanks for the info elfreakz!! ade gambar lagi. susahkan you jea sweat.gif

congrats on your newborn abang brother laugh.gif

i will try okoplus. it just that i read in the article that the parasite toxo come from the host which is cats, when our cat pee, it release bacteria in form of eggs, and than it takes about a day for the eggs to ripen, shed plus fully infectious. so that's why i am so concern in to change it the litter daily smile.gif i also use boil water to clean it now days. coz the eggs can survive up to one year. quite hard la to be both mother for my cats and later my kids sweat.gif

and no tzywen, i dont like my cat to wonder around and pee outside. you never know they do it at the neighbour's. not nice rite?

haven't heard that kind of thing before, maybe there is such thing but not that serious. but what i know some believe that (no matter malay/chinese/or whatever) when you are pregnant do not keep any animal. and im not sure the one you mention actually got affected to human. if you have indoor cat which already vaccine onces a year, fully hygiene like bath, cleaning, well kept, i don't think it will bring bad effect on pregnant women. and i know from the cat urine there's alot of side effect but i only heard towards other cat. like FIP virus on cat can go to another cat from the litter box (urine and poo poo).
actually changing cat litters for pregnant women is a serious no-no, just as serious as no smoking, drinking or lifting heavy objects while pregnant. later yr wife pregnant, dont make her change litter box ya tongue.gif. it so dangerous to the baby coz their immune system does not develop fully.

abg brother, post pics of the kittens. pictures worth a thousand words they said laugh.gif

Lol i just tembak the age tongue.gif But im pretty sure its not really young because the owner is giving away some to a pet shop.

By the way, is there any good pet shops u wanna recommend to me ? Either somewhere near putrajaya or anywhere in kl.

Aya forgot, watta bout shower time? how?  laugh.gif
*
if you dont mind travel to puchong from putrajaya, there is this vet cum pet shop also near tesco puchong, st angel, price is cheaper compare to other pet shops, im talking about vet treatment, nurturing, cat's food, night stay, deworming.

some comparison :
in subang mayo clinic, nurture male cat is at range rm120, in st angel is only at range rm90, less than rm100 for sure
night stay in one vet in old klang road, night stay is rm20 range, but in st angel only rm14.
10% of cat food like science diet, iams. i dont even ask for the discount!

few RM different, but say if u have like 8 furry kids, like me, i take it man! sweat.gif

dont know where vet on kuala trg  sad.gif
if i stop vaccine can my cat have effect?
*
no, its ok. i only vaccinate my cats before and after surgery coz i have too many cats.

from my experience, it is ok. i had delays in vaccination before. unless your cat just undergo surgery, there might be risk internally according to my vet. if no, no problem lah bro.

my doctor once said, vaccination for cat is like us human take rubella (for female), bcg and anti-tetanus we take in high school.

like us human, we had our first BCG injection after birth, then second at the age 7. there is no specific date or week for the second BCG, but the optimum age is at 7. any month at the age of 7. in short term, nothing happen, in long term after few years, no BCG lead to smallpox and serious illness like tuberculosis.

same goes to cat. the doctor will just suggest a date that is suitable to get second vaccination, i had delays before. normally my doctor dont tied me on a specific appointment date, just like "after march 15, can come take second vaccination when convenient to you" but of course delays referring to days and weeks. dont la delay half a year! sweat.gif

it is one simple way to look at it blush.gif
