the breed name is oriental blue la. russian blue is another breed.

i say its slightly different than russian blue coz the 2 breeds has similarities (like the color) but different features.

like the tip of the ears... russian blue has rounded tip whereas oriental has pointy tip.

haven't see any oriental breed in cat show here. have you registered at the feline malaysia society and register your breed? come and join us, bring along your oriental cat certificate, then you can show it to the entire malaysian on your breed cat.

isn't oriental suppose to have long skinny face?

wats CFA? got the cat from my moms friend who breeds a few different kinda cats. dont think shes a pure Oriental Blue though. and no cert ler.. shes 18 years old liao...no need to register etc etc tongue.gif

how i know shes oriental blue is coz last time we thought shes russian blue. then did more research and discovered the Oriental Blue breed...did some comparison and yeah shes oriental blue. can find some info on the net about Oriental blues...though not much.

the one i discovered was in a book we used to have...dunno where that book is already.

as for the face...thats another thing that seperates it from the Russian Blue. Russian blues are more rounded.... the Oriental blue more triangular. but for my cat...shes fat ler laugh.gif

then it is domestic shorthair lah my friend. just like some domestic shorthair (kucing kampung) that have color the same as siamese. cannot simply say that it is siamese, only the color look like siamese cat. but still they are proud to be DSH (kucing kampung).

CFA is Cat Francier's Association, where you register your pure breed - they will give you the certificate with registration number. If you do not have all this, then it is domestic cat.

If you are confuse, you can contact Feline Society Malaysia (FSM) to ensure on your cat breed. But normally this society will ask where you get your cat from, what's the breeder (first owner) cattery registration number and do they provide certificate. Else they will still say it is domestic.

aiyah...i dont care about the certs n wat not ler...my baby isnt meant to be a showoff cat etc etc... shes meant to be my baby.

i dont really care if people acknowledge her breed or not.....if shes a DSH then so be it lor...shes still muh baby.

if pure breed persian with no certificate from any cat association, they call it Domestic Longhair (DLH). DSH is for short hair. Persian has long hair, so DLH for non certificate.

yes we don't care if cat got cert or no cert. love needs no pedigree anyway.

you get your own point over there. some of us here have DSH and even kucing kampung. but we proudly said they are kucing kampung, rather than saying it is mix with this and that, mom is pure, dad is pure. at the end of the day, it is still Domestic cat smile.gif

please don't confuse the newbies. me myself for the first time care for cats, saying all things like this, while having kucing kampung that have color like siamese, i tell everybody that i have siamese cat. but the fact is, my cat is kucing kampung (DSH) that only have color like siamese cat.

the reason why, because we wanted to educate people with the knowledge of knowing their cat. And knowledge of being proud of having kucing kampung. why need to change the kucing kampung title to be mix breed or pure breed?. Cannot simply down standard our malaysian cats.

there's so many kucing kampung out there that need human care. im proud to have 3 kucing kampung in my household.

there are too many people confuse with cat types. like normally if we see long hair cat - we simply say it is persian. but they might be DLH, or other long hair breed. so that is why we correct things that is wrong.

i have no intension of trying to be good knowledgeable cat owner. just trying to help on knowing the facts nod.gif

chill bro.

I have a fat, long hair cat at home which is a pure kucing kampung! Love him to bits even when he annoys the hell out of me laugh.gif

A neighbour down the last block of my apartment keeps a few Domestic Long Hairs... I think she got 4 or 5 of them... Sometimes she lets them out to wander about the area, goodness me... They look not very well kept at all!

Face looks comot, fur looks messy, even the tail is not very fluffy...

If I take my Oren to compare, people would definitely say Oren is the DLH anytime cuz his fur is shiny, tidy and fluffier! His tail is wayyy bushier! wub.gif

That's why I always tell my husband, breed does not matter if you don't really care about them... Just look at Oren and those DLH to compare... We turned a kucing kampung, prettier than the DLH! Hehehe laugh.gif

got enough promotion or not for the kittens smile.gif PR mesti baik punya eheheh. i belive mesti ada yang nak. u better cepat, because typical people they look to see kitten rather than adult cat. so if too late, the kitten become bigger and bigger.

i was wondering, you must look orange/red color too tongue.gif because both kitten also red/orange color right? eheheheh

where i put my litter box? in my cat room. last time at the balcony, and kitchen balcony. but now in their room.
to make it less smelly, keep cleaning it like 2/3 times a day. oh well what do we expect right, its poo poo and pee pee, for sure got smell one. no matter if u hide your cat when people come, for sure they will ask "you got cats ah in the house?" ehehehe maybe they see some furs, or maybe some weird smell tongue.gif

but my nose already immune with cats waste. get used to it already. put fans, and open the window so the smell air can go out. and put some refresher smile.gif

dead kitten? yes u can move the dead kitten, don't put it too long over the others, afraid it might become disease/virus that will attack the others.
