nothing special
AMD do have pinless socket like LGA 775
it's known as socket F , 1207 pins , designed for opteron, use for server line primarily

wanna ask, whats a safe temperature for my proc ah? since im NOW (edit) with stock cooler, my load temps now hitting 67-68 already on 3GHz, still testing for stability tho.

added : orthos fail after 3 mins.

what to do?

superpi32m still running up till the 4th loop tho.

Bro.........u never reduce ur HTT multiplier ar?? HT link speed should be arnd 1000mhz, saw urs is at 1500mhz sweat.gif

Apart from that, I would suggest boosting memory voltage just a lil, it might provide some extra stability. If still doesnt work, then you gotta go for 1.5v ady.

Try running small fft in orthos to see if its your proc or ram causing the prob.

Btw I had vy similar symptoms to yours in superpi 32m, my solution, pump voltage tongue.gif

cooling is the key to break through 3.6GHz  icon_rolleyes.gif
For me i manage to do that air cond + air cooling
anyway, i think your proc can do 3.6GHz with 1.5Xv brows.gif

Hahaha kantoi pulak with you. Indeed that's your sc, paiseh liao blush.gif blush.gif

I take few of the ss to refer, my inspiration flex.gif

Anyway trying out 3.6 after this, bro dblooi, what timing should I use ? As for the temp I'll monitor it, kinda glad my GeminII still doing the job, after lapping the F3 at 1.5v load at 47' max. Currently r.unning on naked system. Need advise please please icon_question.gif

Have your proc hit the wall ? You havent pump vcore right ? Should can get higher speed.

And, is stock vcore at 1.16v only ? Usually when I wanna start OC I'll straight pump +0.100v then start pushing.

hi bro.

muliplier as in the HTT multiplier? i using the default 9.5. pardon my noobness but i cant seem to change the HT link speed. dunno why.

am i doing something wrong? oh nvm, ill just stick to my current OC @ 2850 coz any higher than that i dun really like the heat already. will attempt better OC once i get a better HSF. thanks for the help. (my 3rd of 4th attempt at 3GHz stable failed. lol)

just now tried 300 HTT at default vcore also kenot while others can, need to pump 0.100v doh.gif damn i feel so noob cry.gif

I got a 2nd hand unit.
Performance ar...for now i'd say i'm not really impressed.
You can see in the everest in my screenie, not really that well. I will take it out and re-mount. But ambient temp here is pretty high.

The NF7-S v2 had just wen through the re-cap surgery. It will be tested out next week using a Mobile Barton 2400. The Barton 3200 will be a 2ndary proc i will try to find the max, but not hoping much out of it. The mobile we're targetting 2.7 while for this 3200, i'd say 2.5 would be a breakthrough.

Lol........all procs arent born the same, and anyway consider yourself as ald having a better proc than mine. 2850mhz also it needs 1.4V.

The HTT multiplier is definitely in there. It has lower values, from 1X to 5X. Maybe its named smth else in your mobo's bios.

Lol.....you havent done anything WRONG yet. WRONG would be pushing it beyond 1.5V wth the stock cooler tongue.gif

timing for ram? hmm.gif
which divider you will be using?
if u plan to use 667 divider at 10x multiplier
at 3.6GHz, your ram will be oced to 1200MHz brows.gif
actually that's quite high ,
have you try that speed b4 with your ram?
you can use 533 divider also.
3600/8 = 450 , ram oc to 900Mhz in that case
ram timings, it's really depend on the user himself.
i cannot predict much for you as i'm not using that ram. notworthy.gif
can try CL 4 if you are going to use 533 divider icon_rolleyes.gif
