Is a single GTX570 faster than 2 x GTX460 in SLI?
Someone's selling a GTX460 and I'm trying to decide if it's worth picking up the card and replacing my mobo so I can SLI them, or just upgrading to the GTX570.

GTX460 SLI will be more performance than single GTX570 IF the games support SLI.
But you need bigger PSU to run GTX460 SLI and bigger Casing too.
If let me choose....
I will go for Single GTX570. Unless can found a cheap GTX460 and now got Big PSU. ...Mobo can support SLI....why not?

And sell off ur 460 to me, coz i;m willing to buy it! As u can see on my siggy there.. Do contact me if u interested k? Its a TOP version is it?? Hehehehe

firstly, i like to stress that this is my first time build an SLI setup.
ive mounted 2 msi 560gtx ti on my p8z68 v-pro mobo, together with sli bridge, with monitor was hooked at primary (upper gc) dvi socket of the gc, but windows wont boot (monitor shows no signal).
however the win7 will boot; 1) if i take out the 2nd gc 2) or hook the monitor to the dvi of 2nd gc
however nvidia driver did not detect both gc if i go for 2nd step
what is wrong actually?

you first tiem set up the RIg?
You should install the latest GC driver with one GC first. after the GC driver install complete then you off it.
Then you plug in 2nd GC. On it again then your computer will auto detect the 2nd GC.
Go Nvidia Driver control....SLI section and Enable it.

not my First time setting up rig, just first time doing sli
ive done the steps u told, but still the situation remains the same. if both card is placed in pci-e slots, when hooked the monitor to the 1st gc, windows will not boot.
windows will boot if only the first gc is on the mobo, or monitor is hooked on the 2nd gc

hmm...sli bridge may be damaged...hmmm is damaged sli bridge will prevent sli configuration to be functioning?
ive read somewhere in the forum that sli bridge is not essential for sli, only to boost performance of dual gc to 30-40%.
im using the 1st and 2nd pci-e slot, since the third is too near with psu
Added on March 26, 2012, 6:29 amive formatted my windows n reinstall nvidia driver 296.10, still no success.... help help help!!

Can you check in your BIOS/Windows device properties if both cards are detected successfully? 2. Can you try to use one card at a time just to make sure that both cards are not faulty?

I wonder.. what is the spec of ur PSU?? A single 560 ti should consume around 200-230watt.. 2x 560 ti should consider a 500watt just for the gpu's only, so for a better stability of ur system, u should get at least a 700W of psu to power up both gpu's (a very good one, not a cap ayam brand aa..) U may refer here: http://forum-en.msi.com/faq/article/power-...-graphics-cards
