I don't think it's as complex as you may hope it to be. I think it's just simple IP filtering.

Not trying to be negative, but I really think it's just the IPaddress. Everything of mine is from the US (console, PSN store where I downloaded the client, beta-key from Gamestop pre-order), the only thing is my physical location/IP address.

But hey, feel free to try on your end.

yeah they've banned our ip, id.konami.net isn't accessible from here, but it is with a proxy.

Aye, I gain no loss if I were to try as the code was free.
And it does seem IP block since your client is from the US

So no point to try unless I really do have the time to try LOL
