i realised tat when being bitten, it's wrong to lift up my hand cos the hammy will bite even harder to support its weight.. so the best way to stop it from continue biting is to just let it be.. let it be tired n let go.. zz..

sky388, u can continue using that brand n mix with either harry hamster or prestige.. the pellets, i saw my hamsters eat them when other food has finished.. so i dun worry too much about tat..

today i saw got hamsters in carrefour subang jaya n 1 guinea pig.. the ww there only agouti n sapphire.. whereas RC only got 1 solid black left.. robo no more dy no syrian tho.. (at first thought the guinea pig is a huge golden banded syrian lol)

he's cute .. if i'm not wrong he's 9 months old now, assuming he was 1 mth old when i bought him..

i also think it's because of the food..

err.. maybe it's just me but i think the cage is too small for 1 hamster, let alone 2..

i had the same problem before.. but for me not mahal cos i buy the bathing sand at only rm6 per kg from one of the forumer even cheaper than litter sand..

nice LH syrian there.. u'll need to change to a bigger wheel when they grow bigger.. n also, they're solitary..

pardon me for asking, did u rmb to feed him? cos i had a friend that forgot to feed his WW for 2 days! n when i went to his place i discovered him lying dead, very very skinny.. i was very upset over this.. but this serves as a reminder to us that if u're keeping hamster/any pets / plan to keep them, please be a responsible n caring owner.. always remember to feed them n check them every now n then ya~

Added on March 23, 2008, 3:19 amare they afraid to be held? sometimes i find that my RC poo on my hand when they dun like me holding them n they freak out.. need to spend more time taming them so that they dun mind being held.. btw my hamsters poo doesnt smell.. probably ur RC poo smell becos of their food?
