QUOTE(abang brother @ Feb 13 2008, 05:06 PM) I touched mine when they were 21 days old. And separate them a.s.a.p. I just bought another different kind of hammy, i dunno what kind, cos the pet shop just say, "Hamsters, rm10". Later I'll take picture(s). no need to separate so early cos i think de mum will teach de pups some things.. i separate mine at 4 weeks old..

QUOTE(sqwerk2 @ Feb 20 2008, 01:45 PM) 2 feet tank i think still can be reach by a Syrian. I used to have one dwarf hamster, a WW i think. the woman is a rambo man, every morning would climb up the box, plus the lid, plus minus about 2 feet plus. jump down from the cabinet, that alone already 4 feet always run to the fridge. jumped down 4 feet??? tat's the depth of a swimming pool

QUOTE(crazymouse_yyh @ Feb 21 2008, 12:35 AM) Of course they love it. It's high in fat, and very addictive in taste. Is like a cheese burger or whatever junkfood to humans, it is addictive. So we must control the kuaci intake. Habitrail staple is very basic, with nothing much but loads of kuaci, wheat, corn and alfalfa pellets..... not a varied diet.... my hamsters dun like kuaci too, well at least for some of them.. it's good tat way but quite surprising..

agree with NewbieBetta.. better cover the gaps with cardboard or just buy a solid wheel.. or else if ur syrians run very fast n one leg got stuck, i cant imagine wat will happen to the leg..
ps/ is tat a tupperware on the second floor? i'm thinking of separating my cage too but dunno how..

QUOTE(Reanne @ Feb 24 2008, 04:13 PM) There could have been an underlying disease, could have been stress if they were living together, could have been anything, but it can't be heart break. Most animals do not love, there are some things they do may resemble it, but it's not love like how we experience it. only humans can die of heart break

QUOTE(sangels @ Feb 25 2008, 12:43 AM) Human died of hunger, malnutrition and dehydration, therefore lead to organs failure resulting from refusing to eat or drink, it's all the complications of not eating and drinking, not heart broken. Heart broken is just a factor to cause mentally depression and lead to all these actions, and it's also a feeling not a disease or illness. Human who died from this 'reason' is because of depression. I'm sure hamsters don't have this problem as there are only vets, no vet psychiatrist out there cause animals don't need one That's why humans have wisdom that can think and be logic unlike animals. It's also why hamster can be kept by human but human can't be kept by animals. There's a reason for all the differentials between humans and animals. lolx wat u explained is wat i meant..

i think d100200 meant he/she put both hamsters on separate hands.. i do tat with my ww too to determine how their reaction will be, whether or not it is very necessary to put them in separate cage etc.. sometimes i even got my hand bitten in the process.. RC shud be worse i guess?
