anyone having super slow connection to international links today?

I have trouble surfing some of the international website like microsoft.com & yahoo.com. Can ping them but cannot access... DNS cant be resolved to IP issue.. weird. MSN & xfire cant login but googleTalk can... something is seriously wrong over here :S

i wasa having this problem since 1st Jan...and yesterday night (2nd) i called tm and complained. My p2p was download less than 10kbps...but later after around 4am it picked up to 50kbps....so i assume it is better but not back to normal yet...cos i can get up to 100kbps on p2p

I can access lowyat.net, facebook, youtube, imageshack, gmail, hotmail, nvidia, yahoo! mail, microsoft.com, apple.com but I can't access yahoo!.com and unable to sign in with Live Messenger, apparently the .NET Messenger Service Status page is not showing up. So, I can't use MSN for the time being.

I called up, and they gave me the same crap over and over again.
I even explained that there is no problem on my side, and that many other users around KL are experiencing this... you know what the so called technical assistance told me? "Maybe the other users havn't called us regarding their problems yet" I put down my phone straight away, the end. |

Looks like it happen to some range of IP (in my case 124.x.x.x and 58.x.x.x). Can't access Microsoft, Cisco, some UK website and etc. It affect majority of the hosts subscribed to UUNet/AT&T. Weird...

Thank god, I thought something wrong with my line... apparently everyone also kena. Bastards. I reconnect suxmyx multiple times for different IP ranges, it makes a little difference. Google can always get. Digg sometimes can, sometimes cannot. Hotmail, sometimes can get, but even then when I try to login it cannot... because of the redirect for secure login, I assume it gets time-out somewhere along the redirects. Many sites like this, the moment you need to login they will die (time-out). Hell, sometimes even bash.org cannot load, and that's a very light, text-only site.
Definitely NOT a user problem. TM hotline is f***ing useless, call 2 times also talk cock only. Hire real IT people lah, not school dropouts who panic the moment a question not in the script appears. They also tell me recheck connection and firewall, WTF I ALREADY TOLD YOU I DID THAT Hope this thing gets fixed SOON, otherwise maybe I poslaju them a shoebox of my shit.Location: Shah Alam IP: 218.x, 60.x, everything I tried also la... Hmm, me too. Around 5:30ish pm, YouTube and Digg loaded at normal speed, and got logged into Hotmail even with all the login redirects... so I guess whatever was broken, is now fixed.

Are your internet connection alright now? Mine was fine at around 9-11am. Then when i tried to access the net at about 2pm onwards, it has been lagging like **** till now.
Is it me or is it streamyx? Coz i just decided to "Delete All" at "Tools" then "Internet Options". Was it because of me or streamyx? I am really confused and furious right now. Couldn't do anything at all. |

Strangely I find surfing with 218 is fast but gaming has high latency. 60 however has better latency but surfing sometimes slow.

So i can change my ip by reseting the modem or on off the modem or just disconnect and connect my internet connection? |

internet really bad these days......
our connection go worse after every "raya" holiday... first is 31 aug 2007, then hari raya, xmas, now 1 jan 2008... today is the second time tmnet sent ppl came my house... problem still not solved. then they juz came n test my modem... then they said the same ans again: "ur modem is ok... the line is ok.. " then they went off again in the end, i still hav to keep on pressing F5 to browse....... |

Ok!Let me make my marking.
Since 3rd Jan im gettin this lag and i couldnt surf the net neither download [P2P] is gettin no incoming connection even im connected to streamyx. Today,4th Jan still da same, but i notice something...after i restart my pc , i could surf da net till when im gona AFK,i on my torrent and thing started again...no incoming connection!cant surf net nor download torrent ==! After that I try restartin my modem and still no use , so i restart my whole pc n I can surf da net again...den when i on dl...again d disaster strike! So conclusion...streamyx traces back user who on p2p / torrent n totally block incoming connection? |

Youtube is good
BF2142 servers shows high ping.. AUS, HK, JPN servers at 245ms max Torrent is good, still manage to get my linux nightly build pretty fast. Still not sure why, games etc is really laggy. |
