Hi guys. This is what i came up with.
The reason i started a 5v5 match up was because of the following reasons.

1. 5 on 5 is a basic balance, the reason why CS became competitive was because it had a balance in players. CS maps and COD4 maps are relative in size, the only difference is that you can't really hide in CS maps. COD4 tests your perception not only with your enemies, but your surroundings.

2. This tourney aims to promote the game, therefore having a balance would be a main issue. The reason i came up with the 5 on 5 idea was because there are 5 basic classes provided in COD4, Assault, Spec Ops, Sniper, Demolitions and Heavy Gunner. These classes have standardized perks and weapons which complement each other.

These classes have standard perks and pretty much makes it fair for newer players. Having 1 of each in a team would mean that, tactically, you need to work together and use each others perks, weapons and skills to the teams advantage. A team of specialists in each class would mean they can never truly complete their goals properly without teamwork.

Also, you wont see stuff like 10 Grenade Launchers or 10 people with UAV jammers, Dead Silence and Silenced P90s. "Our UAV is online!, wait a minute! There's nothing there! ZOMGPWNZOR"

Should this be used in a real tourney? No, because you dont use the full extent of the game. But COD4 is relatively new in Malaysia and therefore should be promoted carefully not to drive new players away. As competitions start coming up, new game modes can be introduced for example Non-restrictive profile games, Restrictive Profile games so on and so forth. But ultimately, they should be separate.

3. Like CS, you have "Official Tourney Maps", maps that are balanced enough for a tournament. Maps such as Bloc, Ambush  or perhaps something more adventourous like Crash or Overgrown can be used. This however is really subject to the organizers consent and the publics vote on the balance of it. These are mere suggestions from the top of my head

4. there are more maps for 10 players than there are for 16. If you noticed, 8 on 8 on most maps are too much, and will be hard to balance. In hardcore mode, you die in like, 1 hit. Having 16 players kick fighting all out will probably have people dying for no reason after they spawn >.<

5. This game is not CS like unless u play sabotage >.<, the gameplay is different, you dont save up money and you cant prone in CS and hide in grass

lol Pika, I was just lucky to be on fire. I wasn't using my usual set up. Everytime I get Red Tiger for a weapon, I change to another and everytime after I change, I take a while to get used to it.

Never tried theirs but I can smell it right after I walk out of the cafe, sometimes..

I've tried Rhasta's one didn't like it... It's similar to smoking and smoking has side effects.

Added on February 19, 2008, 2:14 amPika, I do the challenges cause I'm too bored of everything else. I've done almost all the non-weapon challenges... out of all the 5 types, Boot Camp, Operations, Elite etc etc, I've only 3-5 undone and one of them is airborne.

Prolly the reason y you don't have to do all that cdkey stuff in blitz is because all the coms run on the same cdkey.
Or i could be the patch. The new 1.5 patch has something to do with cdkeys and game types.
