Hey,Ashley,my first post here. Nice to meet you there today! I'm that person who was with Holyboy. I want to comment on the "upcoming" friendly tournament but I'm too lazy right now, about to play DotA soon. Maybe after all my games,I'll comment....or tomorrow. I'd like to help out if it's on .

Heh,now that I'm done with my DotA game (actually disconnected due to Linksys Ip Conflict problem),I'll comment now.

Ok,so you want a casual tourney,that'd be great since groups that train together would dominate the tourney,so a mix of people would be awesome. Only thing is it's gonna get messy,so I suggest you have like an hour(plus half an hour if needed) of briefing and mixing before competition starts. Before mixing,split experienced and casual players into 2 groups,then start mixing.

Right,since we're done with the mixing and briefing beforehand,players need to get to know each other a bit,so another 10 min for Ice Breaking session. Yes,I know it's gonna be long,but what can we do,you're mixing up people. Ok,fine,for the moment I can't really comment cause I don't know what mode you want for your tourney. The mode is the most important to decide. Best to decide now than later so people can comment on why certain maps are imbalanced for certain modes. Preferably Hardcore Search and Destroy(it's exactly like CS,please don't tell me you don't know how to plant a bomb,briefing will teach/teammates teach), Hardcore Team Deathmatch (plain killing) or Sabotage. I recommend 6 people per team.

Well,6 people is a good number.For example,if a player is at his peak on that day,let's say each team players set to 7,one person kills all,that person gets a chopper for the next round.So,for the next round he calls in the chopper,waits for his chopper to do some massive killing(the chopper AI is pretty smart and shoots through walls) and gets an easy win(1 round) for his team. But if players set to 6 each,the most you can get is an Airstrike which is good if aimed properly but that's the most you can get.An airstrike. <Based on Hardcore SND mode>

I prefer it to be in the morning till evening. I doubt people would want to come to tourneys that are late night,some might not make it.Although,morning can be the same too...hmm....just my POV that it should be in the morning so you have more time to start and finish up.

Just to let you know,I'm not usually playing it on a PC, I'm actually an COD4 X360 player,so I play almost every night online. But nowadays I like to head over to TBun in the afternoon and play.Different feeling playing it on a PC rather than on the console,and I still prefer using a controller . I'll comment as soon as this tourney has been confirmed and the modes being played confirmed too.

This feels like it's not going anywhere until King kong replies. Just had my usual night of XBL (Xbox Live) game,Hardcore Search and Destroy,and it was so fun I just had to throw a flash/stun grenade at my friend's head after he defused the bomb which resulted in team kill with direct impact. Lol...everyone was laughing....it was great. I hope king kong replies so at we know he's still checking (which I'm sure he is).

Naughty naughty go hide in the room,wait for ppl,you killed that one guy before I shot you and you ran back in and hid behind the cupboard,go in knife you but you nearly killed me though...lucky I knife faster.

@storm88: How do you know there's a COD4 compete in ACGC'08? Can put the link here for that info? Can't seem to find it on the ACGC web.

lol,I know what you mean,but luck plays a great role in COD4 . Especially when you're like "omgshithesinfrontofmespam!" I'm too lazy to get Red Tiger for every weapon. Don't see the point unless you're wanna finish all the challenges for the sake of finishing it. Btw, I went to Blitz today,apparently the "Inner Coms" are better than the "Outer Coms" because they are relatively new and can support COD4 normally but the resolution....the monitor is just too small man lol. But it's easy to play there,59 kills lol....and the snipers keep going back to the same obvious spots . One thing nice about Blitzone is the Save Game Tools there where you can just save your id there and load back your rank when you go back and play,awesome.No need thumbdrive.

Haha I see....and you get to hear the awesome sound when you finish each challenge. . Wow you're almost finished lol, airborne...play Hardcore TDM and start jumping around and randomly shoot like crazy when the game has lots of people,definitely will get wan...

Hmmm,I see...so it's the cdkey and the patch itself. So I guess that Blitz didn't update their COD4,one of the flaws but has the convenience for the players.

Haha,yea Ash,I know you're tired of telling people to stop using the GLs. But for me,if a vote is casted to a person tubing,I would vote for a no cause I see no reason to kick the person.

Opinion for one official map? I don't know since the mode isn't even decided plus CS has only one mode,which is SND. But if you were to say the mode is SND,I would back you up Ashley by saying Backlot too.

Ya...I know how you feel....but....there's still no reason why they can't use the GL. Yes,I'd get pissed when they GL me a lot of times,I know you don't want your killing streak to end,especially when you're aiming for a higher kill streak than your previous.I tell you,in XBL(Xbox Live),there is no such thing as kick vote.Even if someone were to use the GL relentlessly,you can't do shit but to shout at him after each game and swear,or you could just quit the server and find a new one(a good connection) which is hard considering that people have to work also and there are students studying too.

Ah forget it,we all hate GLs.

lol one whole day no reply ke.... might be because no news on the tourney yet plus we just finished our topic on the Grenade Launchers and Official Maps so we got nothing to discuss now haha....unless you bring up another topic,people would most probably just check in for more news on the tourney only but no reply.

Nah,we aren't all admins,only Ashley and probably a few others that I don't know yet.

Yea,you can come over,the more the merrier,but we have to confirm by this Friday,right before the day itself so that Ashley or other Tbun admins can help us book the coms.

What boringsoboring say is true,not everyone builds up his own profile(including me cause I'm too lazy and I'm an Xbox player,so practically I'm playing both versions,PC and Xbox360) so I borrow Holyboy's profile,wahahahaha!

I'm not sure yet. Let's decide now while everyone is confirming whether to go or not. Let's see......we'll split games to 5v5,let ppl vote the mode they want,vote for 2 modes please,and whether Hardcore or Non-Hardcore.

My vote is Sabotage(Non-Hardcore) and Search and Destroy(Hardcore).

Lol,Ashley,I think you've got it mixed up,the FTZ thingy is on Friday while the meetup for Tbun is on Saturday.
And I think the news about the Saturday meetup has been "gone" because of many posts in the past recent day. All the info is in page 24.

It'll be best if everyone can stop whatever you're discussing now first and confirm whether you and maybe some of your group/friends can come on Saturday.
