I suggest you try small 1st .....get a decent 2nd one 1st to test out mtb......at least get a feel of riding mtb in jungle trails, etc....some ppl have been know to quit after only cycling once on these trails......the specialized M5 look good enough to start with decent stuff but as mushroom....haggle with the guy smile.gif

Replica frame brand new is RM500.
RST Fork new ranges from RM300 - RM450.
LX groupset brand new shud be around RM300 - RM400
Mavix rims shud be around RM400 - RM500
LX hydro brakes around RM400

Any price around RM1450 - RM1600 shud be ok.. Bear in if you are using clipless pedals then no need to spend for new platforms pedals.. Clipless pedals requires different set of shoes.. (Money spend some more)

I'm using a VP sealed bearing pedal, white color. Very tough. I think it should cost around the RM100+ range, and I definitely prefer it that the Shimano DX. Studs are replaceable also and the originals are very long.

Erm, normal pedals are called platforms while shoes which clip to your pedals are called clipless..  Don't ask me why..
*
because before clipless pedals there were toe clip pedals which had a piece of plastic in the front holding your toe in place with an adjustable strap. then came clipless lo. begitulah sejarahnya
