maybe havent break in completely hence the loud noise
or maybe the pads over heated..were u using it for a very long time when the sound came out? |

I do have the same problem before I took my ride for the first time.. It was making some squeking sound, but after running down Bkt Cermin, no more sound could be heared... who is using what pedals? SPDs or platforms?
i am looking for some new platforms as my bearings seem to squealing! the pedals are ok but maybe i can change the axles? |

maxguy: after a few rounds of cycling ard the brakes shud be a lot more stronger and quieter
its currently in the breaking in process which makes the brakes noisy and uneffective but after some time of riding it will gradually go away and the brakes will be much more effective |

Erm, normal pedals are called platforms while shoes which clip to your pedals are called clipless.. Don't ask me why..
