Dvng speaks the truth, dunno how long before some developer pays off somebody from putrajaya or kl and bulldozes the place for high end condos etc. just like they are going to do to what remains of sg buloh. thanks for the advice, been thinking about how i could improve...
and then i found out i bent the rear shifter cable adjuster just as it comes out of the shifter.  cry.gif i sure hope it can be put back in.

your rear shifter cable adjuster bent?....had the same problem....the screw adjuster was partly broken when it got bent during a ride...it was just a matter of time until it broke off....i dont think you will be able to straigthen it....it cause me to be without a bike for about 2 weeks until i got a 2nd hand part from the bike shop (got it from a broken RD).....not an easy part to get....lucky change to XT 08 shadow RD...now dont have to worry about it anymore... smile.gif

p/s meow, the stumpy can only take a maximum 120mm travel fork only...unlike the 07 model which can go up to 140mm..
Here says 120mm, fakawi forum says 130mm but as advertised on at the Specialized website is 140mm.. shocking.gif shocking.gif

well, i am riding one, and i have the service handbook or instruction book which says not more than 120mm..the manual in the specialized website is 07 model..the fakawi tribe is me and i am using 130mm which is technically speaking stretching the stumpy travel by not more than 10% of the recommended travel..still it will void your warranty if ou use any fork which is more than 120mm..the 07 model allows fork travel up to 140mm..clear????

i doubt you are clicking the correct model....the stumpy 08 is only restricted to 120mm front travel fork..if is 140mm i will be using the Fox Vanilla oledi...if you still dont believe..come and inspect the manual which is with me..btw..paste me the link which says 140mm...

they are the same bike..the pro is the aluminium frame while the fsr is the carbon..they both have the same platform...and still it is 120mm travel..the enduro is 150mm..boon foo got three stumpy s,m,l. The ones he is bringing in is the SX trail frame..which is on a long waiting list..and that is a freeride bike..

that happened to me recently with my right brake lever barrel adjuster...

all i did was cut away the bent part and put it back lol....

but i can't adjust my brakes via the barrel adjuster la lol...

the BB7 proves to be really convenient with the tool-free pad adjuster lol i can even adjust when riding...

though not as easy as using the barrel adjuster la lol...
