MBtrading policy have few exceptions.

- Below USD5 share cannot short
- Companies earmarked as "trouble" also cannot short, even above USD5

no, dun misunderstand. I'm talking about SHORTING a counter (Sell).

Counters below USD5 can't short.

Pre-Market :

C : 4.65 TP 5.00 or lower, depends on market sentiment
URE : 6.21 TP1 650 or sell @ what ever price, depends on market sentiment.

Major news for today :
-Standard & Poor's/Case-Shiller home price index for July
- Conference Board consumer confidence index for September.

Expect movements between 930-10pm, right after the opening bell.

Will wait for 15th October, when CitiGroup results announced.

Quote" October 15th earnings...8 am eastern....Conference call: 10:45 am
10/15....877-700-4194...conference code: 28581886....I think we're
gonna hear some good things....maybe not great....but good.  A good
start.  Phone numbers, dates and times are off Citi's web site. "

C right now trading at 4.62 after hours.

BAC flying high. FAZ positive, so that is safe to assume that DJIA will open GREEN again and stay GREEN all the way.

I will, and re-entry @ dip.

Will go to other broker for LONG TERM. MBtrading is just for short-term, So that I not "accidently" close all positions.

JG Savoldi:
Our model agrees 100% with the idea of Window dressing in fact, if we're correct, the entire move off the July low should be unwound in a short 13 session crash. (We're calling for a 22% crash to INDU 7700 into October 13th.)

The remainder of the year also looks terrible according to our work--we're calling for a 50% crash bit.ly/yVBgt --and although fundamentals are not what we base our predictions on, it seems to us that people have discounted the negative effects of H1N1 on productivity and spending way too much.

We invite the public to view our real-time predictions (the same ones our hedge fund clients see) on Twitter for free now through October 11th. bit.ly/l3hv8

Interesting to say the least. Keep your eyes peeled for the next two weeks.

i'm in the process of creating a sogotrade account also, gonna mail them the things they requested including the w8 form tomolo..
they will ask you to fill in the w8 form and mail it to them.. i'm not sure how the tax thing works as well, but the w8 form is the tax withholding form, which i'm taking it as "foreigners don't need to pay tax" form drool.gif
epalbee if i remember correctly u are using sogotrade too right?

Hey thanks for answering.
Oh!! so sogotrade do ask for w8ben form also la? They only ask me to fill in the signature form and gib them my passport photocopy. I am abit confused liao. Coz firsttrade they email me all those forms & stuffz i need to fill in and submit. But with sogotrade, they only emailed me the signature form. Then when i try to look in their website to check on the w8ben form, i cant find it. Or maybe i am not looking hard enuf. Where do they tell you to get the w8ben form? Their customer service sucks...they ask me to ask the tax department coz its not their business to answer me about tax!! i mean come on...they cant even tell me about the w8ben form?!! Omg......abit skeptical liao about using them. sweat.gif Oh well..maybe i am not following the right sequence.....did i jumped Q? LOL

This is where i currently am.
1. Open acc, got my username and pwd oredi.
2. They mailed me a Signature form to fill in and ask me to submit the following;
supporting documents.
· Social Security Card
· Proof of Identity -driver license or any government issued ID. (If you are not a U.S. citizen or resident, please submit a copy of your passport).
· New Account Signature Form (NAS)

so...now i am wondering where to get the w8ben form coz i cant find in their webbie, n its not in the email...is it the step after?

i have a sogotrade, but not actively used. Now i used firstrade.
you only have to pay tax for dividence distributed.

i also mailed the W8BEN form using normal postal mail. Please do not use normal postal mail, the registered mail reached US < 2 weeks while normal postal mail has taken 3 weeks but still not arrived.

Not sure, my trade are on CASH basis, even my account is Margin account. In short, exactly like local broker.
However, I'm not sure if there's such thing as T+3 or T+2.

Whatever I bought must equal to cash in hand, so that I can sleep without much hassle at night.

mid night news is dangerous because we cannot react.
