QUOTE(oucheev @ Oct 4 2008, 02:11 PM) You have to be joking right? What graphics card are you using to play COD4 on a PC. I'm using 8800gt and the graphics is superior than PS3. 100% true! For your info, I've a PS3 and I have the original copy of COD4 on PS3 but I sold it an bought the PC version instead. To say that PC is only suitable for games like Dota or all those chinese online games is an ultimate insult to pc gamers. It all depends on what type of games you're playing. If you're interested in online, strategy or FPS, PC is a better choice. I do admit that the next gen console have equivalent or sometimes better graphics than some PC games, esp. MGS4 (wow!!!!) but if the port to PC is properly done, eg. games such as Gears or Wars, Mass Effect, etc. the graphics is much more better than the console version. Anyway, this is a stupid thread. This type of thread will pop out once in awhile. If not console vs pc, its Xbox vs PS or Nds vs PSP, etc. Its like comparing your d ick is bigger than my d ick. There's no answer. As long as you are satisfied, whats the use of comparing. |

PC gaming cost is DAMN EXPENSIVE... newer PC games obsolete your PC hardware about every 6 months if u demand full eye candy from the game... e.g Crysis.
The only reason going to make me to upgrade my pc is: Starcraft2 and DIABLO3!!! |

Hardware: PC
FPS & Rts : PC Everything else: Console (although PC is catching up with some good examples like DMC4 port...great with XBOX360 controller...looks better than PS3 version). The End. |

Comparing Consoles vs PC is like comparing:
Gamepad vs (Gamepad+Keyboard+Mouse) hard-to-send for Warranty vs Easy-to-send for warranty Exclusive titles + do everything else 'basically' vs 'I just want to play games'+ do everything else perfectly Fixed static system with some games have chugging frame rate vs customizable all the way to hell till u broke just to play new beautiful high requirement games Games cheat limitation vs 'Trainers' anyone [for loser] Overprice Proprietary accessory vs Lotsa option with wide price range accessories FPS using gamepad vs FPS using keyboard+mouse (u decide) Choose platform based on what games u want to play: ~I play both |

The Consoles are around 2 years old already. Even midrange PC's are more powerful now. Look at the Graphic Card industry, cards are dirt cheap now. For RM400-RM500 you can get a decent card capable of playing Crysis at the highest settings.
Games were meant for the PC anyway, they started from the PC. Without the PC, there wont be games. Not to mention the fact that Consoles are basically just PC's especially the XBox which is an X86 based processor. The Xbox360 still costs a bomb now RM1.2K around there. With that amount no doubt you can sufficiently upgrade your current PC to match the best that are out there. So there is no competition. |

VS 500 bucks for just the graphics card. not forgetting the RAM,OS,HDD,etc.. if you want to go the pirate way, then definitely pc is cheaper (assuming you're more than fine not upgrading anytime soon) go original, and consoles are not only cheaper, but less headache too.(pc=incompatibility issues, driver issues, patch problems, etc= besides, not everyone leaves their pc in the living room, but the console sits snug right there.
