ur fren have LCD TV or something? maybe u can bring ur box to his/her house for try out......

my company got over 30 LCD TV .. seriously... astro or normal tv.. look a bit like watching VCD

720p good enough for me....
37" LG rm 3300 only... of course 720p.... but really good deal...
I saw it at Court..

Where? Courts Mammoth? Hmm... yeah, been there. They have 720p that is affordable... but err... don't you think the fact that I can get a full HD 1080p Philips that has "decreased the normal price" by RM1k is worth while? I mean, to tell you the truth, normal price is RM5,499. Now, its RM4,200. RM4k was my cut-off point, but hey, its worth it.

*Edit: MBF offer ends early next year (Nov-Dec offer). So, I better get it while I still have time.

if 1k off kinda good deal

but for me.. I will get maybe 32" or 37" LG... after 40" cheaper like abt 3k i will get it again... just sell 32" off cheap cheap to fren maybe to michael brows.gif whistling.gif save extra rm1k for nx 1080p 40"

I'll get it at jusco rm 2699 some more can use jusco voucher which few hundred off icon_rolleyes.gif .. LOL thk to HP ori rewards tongue.gif

If we have the tv in the living room for a family tv+ console Which i assume majority of the time being spent on tv or dvds... it makes sense having the huge 720p tv instead of a smaller full hd lcd, EVEN if it is RM1000 cheaper now.

I Bought a 32" 1080i phillips in august for RM2599 with 5 years warranty. im still happy with it until today. That extra cash saved was used to buy a ps3 and a few blu-rays which i think is a good deal instead of a Full HD lcd tv

Gurdian actually bother explaining to you multiple times to be practical, his pointers are clear. If you insist on pushing for Full HD which clearly do not have much supporting medias in both games and movies especially in malaysia, you certainly overlook the good sound system (why would you want a good visual and awful audio?) or the high cost of hd dvd/blu-rays over conventional dvds, or long lead time from amazon.com and a whole long list more.. you gotta think again friend.. especially when there is a budget..

well he will buy a cheap 32" at this moment....
then if the 40" full HD is priced around RM3500 then he will think again...
maybe he will sell the old 32" to me... then buy himself the Full HD one...

Hmm... that's a risky game I don't play. Its money you're talking about. 2nd hand is something I absolutely hate.

for 1500, try and +RM200 and get the Benq G2400W.

Otherwise, go for the Dell E248WFP; http://www1.ap.dell.com/content/products/c...dhs1&l=en&s=dhs

Both are 24" and both are TN panels.

However the G2400W has better blacks and colours compared to the E248WFP.

PLUS, the Benq has a HDMI port.

So imo, try and scrape another rm200 and get the benq. Cheers

It floats around that price la RM2200.. even in kl,pj area. U need to know where to look smile.gif

It looks great for that price man.. Just a while ago it was at 3k sweat.gif sweat.gif
You do not need 1080p for anything smaller than 37" so i think its a swell deal smile.gif

Guys,

Been thinking about getting either:

LG 32LB9R1 (32-inch LCD)
user posted image

Diagonal screen size 32 inch
Aspect ratio 16:9
Dimensions (HxWxD) 544.1 x 805.8 x 79 mm
Weight 12.6 kg
Contrast ratio 10000:1
S-IPS LCD panel; XD Engine; Intelligent eye; Simplink (HDMI-CEC); 1080p-ready dual HDMI terminals.
1366 x 768 resolution; 500cd/m2 brightness; 5ms response time; 178-degree viewing angle; HD-ready.

or hold till march/april for the upcoming Sony Bravia 32 inch LCD

Bravia KLV-32W400A

user posted image

Aspect ratio: 16:9
Dimensions (HxWxD): 794 x 540 x 99 mm
Weight: 13 kg
Contrast ratio: 30000:1
Bravia Engine 2: WCG-CCFL; 1080p24 input-ready; Digital Media Port; Bravia Sync (for Handycam camcorders); triple HDMI terminals.

Of coz, on top of that, there's still price factor to consider for the Sony unit, since I have no idea how much the W series will cost. However, on paper it would seem that the Sony unit will easily puts just about most LCD TV of the same catagory (and then some) to shame.

I'll be using the screen for gaming with my xbox 360/wii & external video output for my notebook. So my question is, if I get the LCD TV, will the video/output look crappy once i switch connect for notebook pc mode? Or would it be better to just go for those Computer LCD monitors like Dell, Viewsonic etc.

Depends on how the LCD TV handle the RGB/VGA input. Most of them these days should accept the native res (1366 x 768).

Yeah I got forcibly "upgraded" to a Elite 360 Falcon set due to rrod but it's all good since the Falcon set runs cooler wink.gif

I've been thinking hard on whether to replace my desktop with the Dell XPS M1330 notebook (comes with HDMI) and if I do that, I need to know how the output would look.
