I'm not saying Michael Bay is a bad Director, I'm just saying that there are alot more good directors out there. He did a good job in TRansformer 1, but somehow his movie are becoming abit too familiar for me. All his movies remind me of The Island, face paced action, non stop chase scene, disarray camera, super close up on character's face pores, etc. Nevertheless, it was a smart move to have Steven SPielberg as the producer. Having two smart guys are better than one. wink.gif

I'd like to see what other directors can do. People like Peter Jackson (LOTR,King Kong), Wachowski bros (The Matrix), even J.J. Abram (Alias). These are the current top directors of our generation. I guess what I hope to see is some great new angles in what going to be the most awaited sequel of 2009? thumbup.gif

Are you kidding me? Bay is the best for this kind of movie. Whenever you watch his films, you always get all the value...love, justice, winning, human bound...almost everything. Do you realized how hard to turn a robot cartoon to a blockbuster movie? He did. Do you know how long TGV and GSC extend Transformers? 2 months baby!! i myself watch it twice on cinema. There is never ever movie that reach the same standard as Transformers. Even watching Dark Knight at IMAX cant bring the same satisfaction as Transformers. You get the storyline, you enjoy the scene and you laugh all the way. What else you want?

peter jackson? not his kind. matrix director? good angle of shooting but expecting bad storyline and flow. JJ Abram? haha....sky and earth. Spielberg is smart move? Indiana Jones is a joke, so did War of The World. Nothing good from him since Saving Private Ryan and The Terminal. i understand that you wanna see a diff kind of film, an experiment one. if then, i prefer tony scott. He may give you headache but the impact is always huge.

dear mr.spielberg,
Please dont ruin the Transformers sequel with aliens. Please. i love the 1st one to death.

wanna know why they choose Bay for the directing transfomers movie?
Coz first of all, there's no Director can direct a better action cars movie then Bay....he's the best in terms of car stunts.

Also Bay's movies has the best Lighting base for Metallic colors in terms for cars/planes/ships any vehicle u name it. From CGI to Real-time lighting realistic effects compare to George Lucas's Star Wars which obviously u can tell its CGI.
The Lighting in Star wars wasnt convicing that its real.

In shorter terms, His movies effects Looks the most realistic coz of the Lighting requirement Bay has for his movies. And Special Effects also is the most expensive cost for a movie.

So imagine US151million budget for 10 Transfomers(with Special Effects like bombs/transformatation/anything cant be done on real live stunt) in the movie with US300plus on Spiderman 3.

I say Spiderman was Rip off with lousy special effects that ain't realistic or convincing compare with 10 transfomers in the movie.

Just like THe first Hulk Movie...lousy lighting make Hulk look aint real compare to the new Hulk movie.

Shia LaBeouf Heads Back to Work Today

user posted image

QUOTE
It looks like car-crash victim Shia LaBeouf will be transforming back to an actor today.

Sources tell E! News that Shia, who is still recovering from injuries he sustained to his left hand in an auto accident last month, is scheduled to return to the set of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen on Thursday.

No details were given about the particular scenes the 22-year-old will be shooting, but it's probably safe to say he won't be doing any of his own stunts just yet.

Optimus Prime Spotted in Long Beach

user posted image

QUOTE
Lordsinuhe spotted Optimus Prime was spotted in Long Beach California, where Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is currently shooting at the Queensway Bridge. The streets have been transformed into a fictional Asian location, and the sequence is surely a continuation of the opening sequence which was shot at the Steel Factory in Bethlehem, PA. Photos of a heavily burned Shia LaBeouf have been making their way around the interwebs this past week. If you haven’t already seen them, you can check them out after the jump.

This question goes all the way back to G1. Not all Autobots are land vehicles and surely not all Decepticons are air vehicles.

Autobots - On land, they can interact better with human. They also must hide sometimes, so disguising as military/air vehicles is a NO.

Decepticons - They just wanna win wars, so disguising as air vehicles sure give more advantages compare land vehicles.

So what its own by George Lucas? Its not who owned the company who did it, its who directed the movie. The Director is the one who Directs how a movie show run, how its gonna convince as realistic as he wants in the movie for the CGI work not the Company.

QUOTE
Bay, who has directed numerous car commercials, understood ray tracing was the key to making the robots look real; the CG models would look realistic based on how much of the environment was reflecting on their bodies.Numerous simulations were programmed into the robots, so the animators could focus on animating the particular areas needed for a convincing performance.

Plus Industrial Light & Magic Didnt did all the work alone.....Last Segment was of the movie was done by Digital Domain.

Bad Boys 2 directed by Bay and the car chase scene CGI was bad & it wasn't done by ILM.

There are a loooooooong list of movie in special effects dept done by ILM which aren't directed by Bay.

ie. Ironman, Harry Potter Series, Pirates of the Carribean series, Jurassic Park, Titanic, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Terminator 2 & 3, etc... they are groundbreaking

Guess u just ignore this quote below huh?

You just explain why Bad Boys 2 car chase scene CGI was bad COZ it wasnt done by ILM. So no need futher explanations on that. doh.gif

Oh did I say anything about ILM only works in Bay's movies?
And did I mention anything about those movies arent groundbreaking with thier CGIs?
Or Did I say anything about ILM been a cheap/lousy Visual Effects CGI company?

The answer is NO to all, sweat.gif
In fact ILM is one of the few earliest visual effects successful companies in the early 70s which has received 16 Best Visual Effects Oscars and 20 additional nominations. It had also received 22 technical Oscars as of till 2006.

Oops maybe u also forgot That Bay dislike using CGI visual effects in his movies, and will shoot his film using as less possible as he could.
