Hi guys, student and amateur here, shooting a 400d. Had this camera for about 4 months only, and been on this board for a while, but rarely participated. Too many forums, too little time. Lol.
Anyway, I managed to shoot a football tourney held by Tv3, for a program called SoccerKids. Malaysia V Japan U-12. We won 1 - 0.

Hope it's okay if I post up a few pics

The winning goal:

Thanks for sharing your setting. At the moment I am not that goot yet so I use the Tv,Av & P mode.

For the setting of the Sharpness, Contras, Saturation & Color Tone would you all Master Share your setting here??

Thanks...

I think other then the 17-85mm IS you can consider SIGMA 18~200 with OS Tele lens.

i use Av settings most often now. i use M when I have an idea what I want to get that Av settings won't help me get. biggrin.gif

entirely up to individual la. like for example, when you do paintball photography, M is really damn crazy. Av/Tv is the way to go.

Hmmm, i used M mode mostly now, used to use Av, but after a few outing with a friend i switched to M mode.

Then the settings i used are always on RAW, so any settings on the image parameter wont affect the results you see RAW.

Hmmm... I think that's it. biggrin.gif

you shoot RAW (not in the naked sense I hope).....how fast for the 2nd shot ?

no as I was manning the figure booth hehe. the walkway for some of the booth are small, and since the place was quite pack and with cosplayers posing around for photographer it become quite hard to move around.

I think it's because Av/Tv eases the burden of the photographer.
He doesn't need to set both shutter and aperture.
During paintball matches, the action is fast, so perhaps if you use M you might miss many good shots - unless you're very familar with the controls of the camera =P

nod.gif agreed... sweat.gif I have bad headache when I was playing around with the M mode... still don't know how to set to suit the environment... sweat.gif

erm, if let say, like for environment macam Starbucks, normally it is under dim light, right? what's the best setting to see things very clearly?

yeah if you need to take photo fast, Tv or Av would be better suited.

for like Starbuck depends what you want to shoot loh, since it's dim light you would want the aperture wide open and maybe bump up ISO a bit. Having a flash to bounce is good too
