After using my 350D for around 2 weeks, I have some comments as follow:

1) The LCD screen is really hard to see under the direct sun light (even with max brightness. Solution: not).
2) Picture produced by the kit len is soft (for whole aperture range. Solution: Shot in Raw and sharpen using software).
3) Other than 2 points above, this is a great camare. I really like the low light performance.

I changed the camera lens while it was still on...
Even removed the CF card while it was on

oh u went there today, so how's the lighting condition of the hall

The lighting pretty bad. The sun is shinning from right side windows.
the hall too high, cant do bounce flash

i see those photgraphers all use big gun (70-200 2.8, 17-55 2.8)
zzz rich guy......me 18-55 3.5.....
