its a conversion lens whereby you connect it to the lens and makes it more macro? as in, the focusing is 0.45 so its closer then that? i have no clue actually. Im just whacking on whats coming out of my mind.

Click ME! Raynox DCR-250 is like a close-up filter, like a magnifier, you snapped it to the front of the lens making it can focus close about several cm away to the subject. Its like an alternative to macro shooting before you can afford a real macro lens. Attaching it to a macro lens will give you higher magnification of the subject, instead of 1:1, you'll get 2.5:1! thumbup.gif

I'm no Canon DSLR user, but I heard from my Canon user friends that Canon 17-85mm IS is a very good and sharp walkabout lens. I think you can easily get one in the used market since a lot is selling it to advance to L lenses! laugh.gif
But if you wan an all-rounder lens, from wide to tele, then you can also consider Sigma 18-200mm OS. Just my 2cents! icon_rolleyes.gif

most of the time using M, sometimes Tv or Av. M mode is fully manually where you have to adjust both aperture and shutter speed yourself.

P mode is where the camera auto adjust both aperture and shutter speed for you, so if you set smaller aperture, the shutter speed will be adjusted automatically

Agree with you, 17 - 85 EFS IS is a good buy lens, get a 2nd hand 1..... most of the range lens, worth it if u wanna get 17 - 40 F4L.....
Quality difference not that much except the latter is legendary L lens....

Hi all,

I just bought my 50mm f1.8 from a very kind forummer of another forum for RM220. Just want to share a few snap shots I took with it.

I know my pictures are not as crispy as it's supposed to be. It's not the problem with the lens, it's me and my shaky hands.

I hope I can have that steady hands soon as I practice!

The rebel can perform in long exposures too man, here's a simple experiment, the night sky was glowing with the light of the moon so its a good opportunity for such experiment. Did a tweak in the white balance to get the sky blue enough too, with minimal noise reduction in Lightroom. Results are of below biggrin.gif
