I ORDER FLASHLIGHT FROM U.S AND THE PRICE IS USD150 AND POSTAGE USD20..THEY USING USPS PRIORITY MAIL INTERNATIONAL FLAT RATE ENVELOPE..THEY SENT OUT THE ITEM ON 15/03/2011..SO MY QUESTION IS:-

1. HOW MUCH I NEED TO PAY TO CUSTOM AS TAX? and
2. HOW MANY DAYS THE ITEM TAKES TO ARRIVE IN MALAYSIA? PLEASE ESTIMATE ON WHAT DAY THE ITEM ARRIVE AND DATE?

Photographic material are custom free. If the total cost exceeds RM500, kastam may tahan. Have to ask Poslaju clear on your behalf (They will contact you) The charges are approx. RM50.

Arrival date approx +- 10 working days.

2. CAN I CLAIM IF MY ITEM IS NOT ARRIVE IN MALAYSIA WHEN THE SELLER USING THIS TYPE OF SERVICE FROM USPS?

3. HOW DID WE GET THE TRACKING NUMBER? IS IT GAVE BY THE SELLER OR EMAIL BY USPS?

if usps, you can track it using Pos malaysia ig it has arrived malaysia(you can check at usps to know wether has arrived malaysia or not..just key in the tracking number

"hello my friend, your item has posted. United states parcel service does not track packages with tracking numbers to overseas. Your package is attached with a customs number LC86473841US"

IS IT POSSIBLE I CAN NOT TRACE THE CUSTOM NUMBER GIVEN IN USPS WEBSITE..OR SELLER IS A LIAR AND HE NEVER SHIPPING THE ITEM..

Calculatuion will be based on = (Price + shipping + insurance) x exchange rate x import tax ( if there any) x sales tax ( if there any )..

huh, our kastams really daylight robbers... got my first 'kena tahan' experience a few weeks ago... my package was quite a big boxlah... but value was quite low.. not even 300 rm in total, but when i went to pick up my package and opened it up for inspection (my items all old toys and clothes) the kastam lady can ask me like asking for bribe '50 ringgit boleh tak?'.... i said tak boleh also no use, they still die die also charged me 50 ringgit... even tho plus shipping not even over 500rm in total...

a few things i notice though, if u get your package sent from overseas, better not have the sender fill in a pro forma form... i think that allows the kastam to inspect your package and therefore more likely to kena tahan... reason i think so is because so far all my packages that kena tahan is from a shipping forwarder i use and they always do things proper and fill up a pro forma form.... all my years of shipping stuff from US from ebay never kena tahan also.. coz most of the time, the sender is not a business and they don't fill up a pro forma form...
