hmm So the best choice for a Classical music listener who don't use an amp is the X3i?

right, this is my first pair of IEMs. i can also hear these hissing noises when i plug x3i into my laptop. i checked, they're called sibilance. i didn't notice beforehand (had been burning in right now totaling < 50 hrs). otherwise they're working quite well/ improving i must say.
i don't have a portable rig (i don't listen to music on the go + can't afford 'em, what's the point?) so i can't test these on other devices to tell if there's any difference. is this normal occurrence for IEMs? is there a way to reduce the level of sibilance when i listen to the songs? it does get *very* annoying for certain songs i listen to.
also about the tips, are the tips walabies/ yuheng selling to fit the mylars of superior quality than the ones which came w/ the package?

Most of the time it could be your badly encoded mp3s. If you want I can give you high quality tracks. QUOTE(PetroToxin @ Dec 7 2007, 11:13 PM) Which part of Sunway? You own a shop? Nop, just a residential house.

QUOTE Most of the time it could be your badly encoded mp3s. If you want I can give you high quality tracks. nah, i ripped them in flac format, and most tracks i downloaded are at least 192kbps. i bumped the volume up to the max w/o any music playing and there's definitely hissing noises on the background. i wonder if it could be my laptop. when i listen to ambient stuff the noises really get in the way
