Well, RM is now appreciating against USD. Which explains some games being cheaper than what they used to be.

well i guess there r some ppl who can't afford original stuffs... imagine all the students studying using all original s/w... it would KILL THEM... juz a original SQL s/w costs a BOMB!!!!!!!

if m'sia has a stronger economic status... i think alot of us r willing 2 buy original don't u think....hehehe...

Wrong, the country's economic status is not that big a factor.Unless the price of originals drops to anywhere near pirated one which is unrealistic, the majority will always flock to the pirates as long as there is availability. It is the selfish nature of man.Imagine if there is no enforcement against piracy in USA and Japan and pirated games are in abundance everywhere, its not hard to imagine even the people there would take the shortcut despite their "superior" economic status.

Of course we can. But, how many people who support pirate would know where to download from? And how many can patiently wait?

That's why, Screamyx got throttled, or at least i think it is. They know not all of us are patient to wait for downloads.

if you look at the portable market, a shit load of gamers download games from the net.

torrent being throttled isnt a problem, since many dont use torrents to begin with wink.gif

very true indeed... but if u r the developer... would u sell ur developed s/w sooo cheap after all the hard work n costs of developing, intergrating, testing, marketing, etc.... but no doubt some blood sucking companies do sell higher price for better profits... i guess in biz sense is arguable... since they need 2 sell a heck load of their goods to cover juz the marketing costs.... not to mention the rest of the costs..... juz hope the rich can support the oris n dun b cheap ass to buy pirated stuffs... hahhaa.. although poor ppl buy pirated stuffs but they do deserve to hav knowledge n fun.... sooo hope it balances out... hahahaa

Well... I'm sure almost every single one of us gamers started as buying from pirates, those are the time when we are young without knowing buying piracy stuff is wrong. All of us has limited pocket money mah, so comparing a RM120 ori with a RM5 pirate, which both has the same content, then it's a no brainer which to buy at that time. While we were young, we has no appreciation for originality anyway, all we care for is value for fun, fun and fun.
As we grow older, buying as many pirated games as you want no longer make sense anymore... how many of you out there who has started working has a piles of pirated games untouched at home? How many games you has completed? Buying pirated games doesn't gives you the appreciation of a game anymore.
So for my case, I used to had a tonnes of pirated games lying in the folder, untouched, the most I just play for a while, that's it. But with original games it's a different story, I won't let it lie idle there, I'll try my best to complete this game first before moving on to the next original, I also will try to unlock everything and squeeze all of the juice out from the originals, and I must admit, I has more fun and has more appreciation for the game when playing originals.

So support originals!!!

the good news is nowadays, XBL and PSN do offer game demos and gameplay trailers for many games. although some games i'm interested in are missing demos (e.g AC) so i can't decide whether its worth buying.

not sure if Wii games have demos or not ............

alot laugh.gif
the ones i dont touch are the crap games..

played full auto 2?
what a piece of shit doh.gif

i'd be very stupid if i bought the original.

no,buying original does not mean you would definitely appreciate it more.

i appreciate my pirated ZOE 2 more than my original ZOE.
i played my pirated ZOE 2 waaaay more than my original ZOE.

i would rather lose my ORIGINAL ZOE than my pirated ZOE2.

buying original=more appreciative gamers is just pure bullocks,IMHO..

a crappy game will always be a crappy game, regardless if you buy it original or pirated wink.gif

Sadly Wii games don't have demo's that we could download.

But it would sure mean sumthing for them if they could improve it.

i never said buying pirated games was the right thing to do.

i was arguing that just because one buys an original game,it doesnt mean one would appreciate it extravagantly more than that of a person who buys a pirated version.
